RICHARD TO THE RESCUE! Wow I can’t thank him enough, our transmission blew a line and we were stranded in Santa Barbara (not such a bad place to be stuck!) we he came, on a SUNDAY, and helped us out by not only replacing the broken hose but going through and replacing all the ancient transmission hoses while he was in there, he was very friendly and helpful and charged reasonably. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Richard was extremely professional and was able to squeeze me in last minute! I needed a pre-purchase inspection done on a vehicle I was lined up to sell, and the other shop in town fell through last minute. Richard was a belt to squeeze us in same day and did a fantastic job! He was easy to talk to and work with, and made the entire process extremely stress free. Can’t thank him enough for helping us so last minute, and will absolutely be using his services again. Cannot recommend him enough, 10/10 :)

My alternator broke, so I called around the mechanics in SB trying to get quotes. Half of them wouldn't quote me without seeing the problem. The other half would quote but didn't know what amps for the alternator unless I had the car towed down there for them to look at it. Richard provided a good price over the phone; came to my house; got my key out of the car that was locked inside when the battery died; checked the alternator I needed; ordered the alternator; and came back to my house late on Friday to install it with his associate. I highly recommend Richard and his associate. Problem solved.

Hector responded quickly to my call, and arranged the "house call" with a few hours. He quickly identified the problem, and suggested an economical solution. An hour and a few minutes later, I was driving off and satisfied. FYI I had a rear heater core fail, leak coolant, and cause overheating in my very old car. Hector rerouted coolant to support just the front, and identified excess corrosion/gunk in the radiator that were also contributing to the poor cooling/heat transport. Flushing the radiator now, but $250 to redo the coolant plumbing in my old van seems pretty reasonable to me. Would definitely recommend.
