Where do I begin? Well, first of all, this shop isn't great at communicating. I brought in my car to have my brakes worked on. They said the aftermarket master cylinder that I put in my car was damaged, but then they told me it wasn't usable due to being an aftermarket part, which they should've told me in the first place. I felt as though I was being misled. What's more, I noticed some other issues with my car once I picked it up: the hood release handle was broken and the brake warning light was on. Given how poor they are at communicating, they didn't say anything about either problem prior to me picking up my car, so I ended up bringing it back. I'll give them credit for replacing the hood release handle, but I won't give them credit for addressing the warning light. I guess they thought I was talking about the ABS light since they "fixed" that, but my car doesn't have ABS, so I don't know what planet they're living on. Either they have no grasp of the English language, or they simply don't care. In any case, they told me that the brake warning light was on from before I initially took my car in to have the brakes worked on. I didn't know that because I didn't attempt to start my car before having it towed, nor was the issue brought to my attention during their inspection. That's assuming they did one. Nonetheless, I wouldn't recommend this shop unless you like dealing with people who don't know how to communicate.

I have been coming here for last 6 years. Excellent workmanship, nice friendly staff. Very good place to bring in your car for maintenance and repairs, especially BMWs.

Bakersfield Motorworks is a great repair shop. Peter and Chepé are very experienced mechanics, and run an orderly workplace. They are nice to work with. They know what they are doing. You can tell their people are treated well.

It’s been a few years since Peter and the folks at Bakersfield Motor Works (Peter) repaired my beloved 06 BMW…, But I have to give a definite shout out to these folks for the fantastic repair of my vehicle. I had a significant engine issue with leaking valve seals, which was efficiently repaired for 1/3 of the price that was quoted by the local dealer. The performance of the car was remarkably improved and continues to be so. I continue to enjoy driving my 18 year old car and have had numerous offers to buy it from me even from the local dealer! Thanks again guys and continue to do your excellent work!
