Warning this place is a complete joke of a shop. I brought my truck in for a rear end issue, after waiting 3 weeks for repairs instead of the 2 days Charlie, the owner, originally told me. They charged me 2400 to rebuild it…that’s just the beginning…within 5 minutes of leaving their lot my rear wheels locked up almost causing an accident. My truck is now at a reputable shop where they took apart the rear to discover the job was done wrong at A1 award. Also it was common for them to fix cars A1 messed up. What a heck of a place to call a shop, these guys are dirtier then the grease they left on my truck.

I 100% recommend this place. This place is excellent. My car wouldn't pass inspection because my check engine light was on due to codes from the transmission. my transmission was skipping i needed a rebuilt i called A-1 transmission and spoke to the owner Charlie and he spent time with me on the phone to locate one at a very reasonable price i brought my car in and it was ready in 3 days my car is running excellent great job and heres the bonus he had the car inspected for me what more can i say that is A-1 service thank you Charlie It was a great experience doing business with you and I will definitely will be doing business with you in the future and highly recommend you to all my friends and family great job 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆

After a $2400 transmission job that took 5 weeks I drove away only to discover my power steering fluid was not leaking but spraying up and into the engine room under the hood covering my battery and surrounding area! I called right away but they were closed already. Since then I’ve been getting the runaround and when I am lucky enough to get someone on the phone I am told the boss Charlie is not in at the moment! I’ve complained about this several times and CANNOT drive my vehicle! It’s been 2 weeks and by now no one answered when I call the phone just keeps ringing and I can’t even leave a voice mail bc the answering machine stays off, even when they’re closed!

I bought a newer SUV a little over a year ago. When I purchased the vehicle I also had purchased an extended warranty along with it. As I started driving the vehicle I had noticed when shifting the transmission into reverse there was a slight delay and a slight kick into reverse. I knew it was not normal and realized before it did become a major issue I should have it checked out. I had dropped it off my truck at the transmission shop they looked at it and the same day Charlie called me in to review the issue and go over my options in detail. Charlie stated after dropping the transmission pan and looking into the transmission you have some slight wear on the transmission and the evidence was in the pan. I then had mentioned I am leaving on vacation in two weeks to North Carolina what do you recommend I do at this point. He in turn stated you will be fine if you drive to North Carolina or we can get the issue resolved on time for you so you can go on Vacation to North Carolina without any worries. I brought the truck back into the shop in the next few days along with the paperwork for the extended warranty so Charlie can contact the them and work things out for me. I am sure most can understand being in the country in the middle of nowhere and being broken down on the side of the road and the only thing in sight are the cows in the field just not good. In turn I had to rent a car to keep going to work while the work is being done on my truck. Charlie said no problem I have an agreement with Hertz rent a car company across the street and the rates are great much lower than your average rental this was just perfect. The work was done on my truck in just a little under two weeks. I dropped off the rental car across the street and then picked up my truck at the transmission shop. Charlie worked a deal out with the warranty company and had my transmission fully rebuilt like new and the warranty company covered the entire job that was awesome news and it gave me 100% confidence in Charlie, the team, and the company. I now have a safe vehicle for me and my family so to go and visit my folks down south. Charlie also mention after one year or 15,000 miles whichever comes first bring the truck back in for a transmission service and I did just that. The vehicle is working well and all is great. Thanks again Charlie personally, your team in providing me exceptional professional service, and also in a timely manner. I hope this review helps many other individuals like me that are or in need of transmission assistance. Hands down I would recommend A1 Award Transmissions to all family and friends. Thanks again guys you were great from start to finish!
