A Better Auto Repair

Highly recommend this mechanic. A few months ago I went to another place in town and they told me that I needed $2000 in repairs. I took my car here for a second opinion and found out the other place was lying to me. He even showed me the parts in question and I left with just an oil changed and a minor repair. If you need an honest mechanic look no further. You won’t need to worry about being scammed again. I would suggest calling ahead because as soon as people find about this hidden gem he might get a little busier. I’d rather wait a little longer for my car to get fixed and support an honest mechanic than risk getting scammed by shady shops that are all to common these days. I need new brakes soon and I am not stressed because I have an honest a reasonably priced mechanic to go to.

I had a pretty terrible 4 hour experience at A Better Auto Repair with Rich (the owner). I showed up after I received a warning that my engine had issues, which Rich confirmed fairly quickly. However, an actual diagnosis took 3 hours because of the shop being “busy.” I would completely understand this except for the fact that Rich only had two customers (including myself) and he spent that time complaining about his wife to the other customer who was clearly uncomfortable. I went on a walk when Rich started saying his wife was lazy and it might just be “easier to get rid of her.” When he did diagnose the issue he said he would need to replace the entire throttle body which would take 5 hours to a day. I asked him to clean it instead to see if it gave me issues again before dropping almost $1000 on a new part — he knew this was the first time I’ve experienced any sort of issues. The cherry on top was the shop using a 1/4 of my gas tank on their test drives. All of that being said, they did clean the issue and I haven’t had any issues since (it’s been a few days).

I have been going to A Better Auto Repair for about 2 1/2 years and I am always very satisfied with the work that they do. I know that they’re trustworthy, and also very knowledgeable at what they do. I know I’m gonna get the best service and the best price. Who is the owner is just awesome and his employee angel they do a great job. I wouldn’t take my car anywhere else.

Man I don’t even know where to start, my friend accidentally put Diesel fuel into my car that uses regular gasoline, I only got 2 blocks away and my stopped, some guys helped us push it nearby, I then called different auto repair guys to help me fix the situation, everyone was charging an arm & leg up o drain my gas tank, but then came Rich (I think he is the owner) , who immediately came to the rescue, literally took my car right in and said they will be done in no time, every other shop said it would take 1-2 business days. Rich and his crew did it in 2hrs!!!! What these guys did for me was amazing! Funny part is I never notice their logo until today, “Home of the HONEST mechanic” I gotta say that I’ve never had this type of service anywhere.

If you’re looking for a good honest mechanic Shop, this is your spot. Rich , the owner is wonderful and he has a group of mechanics that do a fabulous job. Highly recommend the shop.
