Absolutely the most professional service! Knowledgeable and not once did I feel pressured to agree to services. Eric was patient and explained details thoroughly. He kept me posted on parts and service progress. The transmission Tech also took time to explain the repairs. Overall, GREAT TEAM!! I left feeling reassured that my truck’s life was extended. Definitely recommend!!

My transmission wouldn't shift gears while driving on expressway. I was close to AAMCO Garden City and stopped in to ask for advice. Eric was forthcoming and suggested not driving under the circumstances. He kindly offered to give it a courtesy check. It put me at ease because his overall outlook was straightforward and honest. I appreciate his expertise and the service technician's work. No doubt their service is great and I will refer to them in the future.

DO NOT GO TO this AAMCO location at New Hyde Park. Horrible experience. They are all nice and friendly, very professional in the beginning, but it turns out horrible experience, very nasty attitude and they are greedy. They are a scam. I keep asking for an estimate price, because I have a budget to spend on the car. And I specifically made it very clear, that I DO NOT want to spend over certain amounts of money to fix my car. So I want them to give me an idea of what is the cost. They have all kinds of reasons to not tell me the estimated price range. Then I made my statement very clear that if the cost will be the cost is too high, then I will not fix my car. They said of course it will cost less than what the dealer will charge. They trick me with the word “ repair” and “rebuild“ I made it very clear I ONLY want repair. Which means only repair the item that must needed to be replaced, not rebuilding a super transmission. They open my transmission, then their attitude change, they want me change all the main parts out of my transmission, and I said the cost is too high just put everything back, I will pick up my car. Then they said they CAN NOT put my transmission back, because it wouldn’t work. Plus I have to pay extra labor fee, extra fees for parts to get my transmission back together, but it is NOT guaranteed that my car can be turn on! So I am looking at to pay at least $4000 or more for no guarantee service. In the end I walk out with a broken car and still have to pay them labor fee with nothing done. This place is a scam, don’t go to this place.

I have had the regretful and unfortunate experience of dealing with 4 different aamco locations, herricks road garden city (which to no surprise has went out of business) merrick road,lynbrook , ralph ave. brooklyn, herricks road, garden city for a second time, which had recently been acquired by the ralph avenue brooklyn owner, in addition to their corporate headquarters. every experience has been a stressful, costly and aggrivating ordeal. the valid 3 year 300,000 mile nationwide warranty was not honored after the engine they installed was operational for only less than 2 years. there has been no occasion that i have received my vehicle back from any aamco location without multiple other issues that have had to be repaired elsewhwere. they have appauling comunication employees were not only extremely incompetent and unproffessional, but exhibited outright hostility towards me in the form of profanity and hurling insults in response to me asking questions. almost $20,000 including tows and rentals in under 2 years and the vehicle has been rendered uninspectable, unreliable and unusable after the neglegence and incompetence of their attempts at repairs to the vehicle.
