AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care

The team at this shop has been working on my fathers 1967 Cadillac for the last few years. My father came to AAMCO after learning the hard way from another local repair shop down the road who did not fix things correctly and who did not communicate, or treat the owner with respect, even worse threw parts at the car without proper diagnosis at the owners expense. The moment we switched to AAMCO we noticed an immediate difference with the service experience. Respect for the owners property and respect for the customer. They are very customer focused, they update you and treat you , your property and your wallet with respect - Tony - Marisa - William were awesome to deal with while the car was in the shop. I would highly recommend them for any and all mechanical repairs, not just transmission work - Big or small job they will always do right by the customer - Thank you William - Tony and Marisa I truly appreciate everything you have done for my father!

I came into the shop with transmission problems and unfortunately the worst case scenario, a total redo of my tranny. Knowing I was from out of state and distraught, he prioritized my truck which told me the owner cared about my well being and truly it just made me feel great that he sympathize with my situation. The owner Robert was there to greet, manage the front end process, keep me informed and at the end to provide me with the green light my truck was good as new. The price was in line with others but the financing options with the warranties along with the amazing customer service, was what it easy for me to say let’s get this fixed. Highly recommend this shop and they have surely earned my respect and business!

My 2020 Chevy Impala Premier has 80,000+ miles on it and it was time for a partial transmission fluid drain and refill. My Chevy dealer told me they don't provide that service and only do transmission flushes, which GM specifically warns against doing unless you're having major subsystem work done. But that's a story for another post. I called AAMCO Huntington Station (about 5 miles from my job in Commack) and spoke to William. He told me they can do the service and to bring the car in for a once-over (no charge!) and we'll take it from there. Well, I brought the car in at 8:00 a.m. Thurs. 1/16. William greeted me promptly and they took my Impala in to check it out. 20 minutes later, they came into the office and told me, "She's looking good and we can do the partial drain and refill for you, right now." They quoted me for 1 hour of labor (I had brought my own ATF) and lo-and-behold, 35 minutes later I was out the door and the car is running like a top. The charged me exactly what they quoted and not a penny more. I am very pleased to have found a mechanical shop that's fast and honest. The whole experience was "old-school," like taking your car to your family's old, trusted mechanic and I can't tell you the last time I was treated so well and felt like my car was in the best hands. Thank you, William and company at AAMCO Huntington Station; I will definitely be back! Great experience!

Female in her 30s and I love this place! Best auto shop! Glad I found them !! As someone who is putting a lot of miles on her vehicle they always make sure my vehicle is in the Best condition and safe without trying to oversell me on anything. Highly recommended.
