AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care

Do not take your car here. I brought in my Ford F150 to have the transmission looked at. They said it needed to be completely rebuilt. They had me pay them $4,600.00, before they were finished. There was an excuse everyday why it was not done. Then after two weeks they said it was done and I picked it up. The transmission had problems from day one. I ran it for 10 days as they said it may be rough shifting at first. I brought it back and they claimed they had to rebuild it again. After about 5 days they called to tell me that my truck had caught fire due to an oil line coming loose and spraying oil all over the engine. They claimed it happened on a test drive after they had rebuilt it for the second time. So I am now out the $4600, and my truck has been totaled by my insurance company. Yes, I had to do a claim on my insurance policy. After contacting them about a refund I was told that they would not be doing anything for me, no refund for the job they never finished. This place was shady from the beginning. Do not go here. In response to the Company Response: I received a phone call from the owner two days ago. He said that my insurance paid me and they have no other responsibility to me. He then hung up on me. A very rude phone call, and this is from the owner. I paid them $4600 and am now out all that money because they caught my truck on fire.

I recently went to AAMCO for the Annual Recheck Service for my Auto Transmission Warranty. The Huntington Beach location was excellent! Richard made scheduling the appointment simple and easy. He also was very thoughtful in having my car turned around, so it was facing the driveway, which made it much easier for me to leave the location. The Service was completed efficiently and in a timely manner. I was very pleased and really appreciated the service and helpful people at the location!!

2021. Honda accord  not  shifting  Aamco  transmission hunting beach  diagnosed. And  exchanged  with  rebuilt transmission with reasonable price  & time. Very happy.i recommend  Aamco  transmission hunting beach

I visited AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care located at 7201 Garfield Ave, Huntington Beach, CA, for a complimentary inspection of my car and talked to Eric. I have a dash cam installed in my car and automatically sends videos to my email when the car is turned off. To my shock, I received a video showing an AAMCO employee using my car for personal and AAMCO business errands. He drove my car to a liquor store, then to his home, parking it in an alley. Afterward, he took my car on a lengthy drive through various cities picking up and dropping off car parts for AAMCO. The cities included Westminster, Fountain Valley, Costa Mesa, Irvine, Tustin, Anaheim, and Stanton. The video had timestamps and locations for each place visited, indicating that he covered a lot of miles and used a significant amount of gas during this unauthorized trip. Unfortunately, the employee's actions had negative consequences for my car. The bumper has road rash now and the alignment is off, so now my car pulls to the right. Obviously, he hit a curb or something hard. I now also have a slow leak in my back tire. Additionally, I discovered that the driver had smoked inside my car, which he denied despite having a pack of cigarettes in his hand during our conversation. After confronting the staff at AAMCO, I was informed that my transmission needed replacement which I already knew, but they couldn't work on my particular car model and declined to give me an estimate. Why did they waste my time and not tell me that upfront? Throughout the process, I encountered multiple lies and inconsistencies. They even parked my car and left it running for over 5 hours, which I could verify through my dash cam footage. When my car is turned off, the dashcam shuts down. I was informed that Vijay T. Deshmukh, was away for the next 2-3 weeks after I requested the owner, but I believe I saw him on the premises when I dropped off my car the day before. Given my experience, I strongly advise others to avoid this establishment. It seems they might misuse customers' vehicles without permission for personal and business tasks, and their overall business practices were deeply unsatisfactory. In addition to the numerous issues I encountered at AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care, it's essential to note that they never provided me with any paperwork to fill out when I dropped off my car on August 2, 2023, nor when I picked it up late in the afternoon on Thursday, August 3, 2023. The lack of documentation made it even more challenging to address the situation formally or keep track of the services they claimed to have provided. This further adds to my dissatisfaction with their professionalism and raises concerns about their transparency and accountability in handling customer interactions. Overall, it is clear that this AAMCO on Garfield in Huntington Beach failed to meet even the most basic standards of customer service and responsibility. If I could leave negative stars I would. I sent the owner an email with no response. If you leave your car here, it could be used without your authorization and used for employee personal use or as parts pick-up and delivery car. You have been warned. NOTE: It's interesting that you cannot respond to the owner's response to my post below. I had sent an email to the owner with my phone number, and I have not heard back. It's also interesting that he did not dispute anything I wrote. I have posted 3 videos on my Facebook page. One is the employee at the liquor store walking out with his purchase. Another one of employee driving to another parking lot to consume his purchase and a third video putting a Catalytic Converter in my car to be dropped off in Anaheim.

I highly recommend this shop!!! Richard is trustworthy and provides an outstanding customer experiance! The AAMCO team at the Huntington Beach facility is the absolute best. I do not think you’ll find a better shop. Thank you very much Aamco for hiring such or having such a great team. I see satisfied people leave this business. Every time I go there I am super happy with my work and I will definitely return highly recommend recommended way to go Richard. Thanks.
