I have a twenty eighteen jeep grand cherokee that I carried in just to get the transmission fluid checked since I had just bought the car a few months prior. They tell me after checking the transmission fluid that the transmission is burned up. Said, I needed a new transmission. I said, okay, I have a warranty on it. Great, we'll get you one. long story short. A little over six thousand dollars later.Got a new transmission. I started having some of the problems with the car so I carried it to another shop. Actually a dealership, and they said whoever put the transmission in severely overfield, the transmission with transmission fluid. The dealership fix the problem and I was charged for there services at the tune of a little, over twelve hundred dollars. So I went back to ammco and talked to them about the problem. I was told that there's no way that you can overfill this transmission .when in fact, you can . The dealership took out nearly 4 qt, of transmission fluid that they had overfilled my transmission. But amco didn't want to make it right. I was told to bring my car back and I would get a free oil change. I don't think so. During this time, my wife's van had a break issue, so I said, okay, I'll let these guys work on her van as well, lo and behold, just a few weeks after they had done a break job, the brakes had locked up on it again, and I carried it back, supposedly, they fix the problem.I hope. I also carried my daughter's Ford Ranger In to get the transmission checked on it. I thought these guys were doing a good job at first. Well, they come up with A $ 4200.00 Bill said she had to have a new transmission. When I believe she really only needed a valve body. And a good flushing. I told my daughter the problem that I was having with my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee and told her that she needed to check the transmission fluid and hers as well, her husband did and said that it was way over the hatch marks and that it was overfield as well. I've talked with one of the guys at ammco, and he said Please bring it back up here and we can fix the problem.We can take some of the fluid out. The problem is it shouldn't have a problem when it leaves the shop. They should double check these things and make sure it's completely 100% right before it leaves Their shop, letting 2 cars out with over filled transmissions, is not good. It makes me wonder how many other people are driving around with transmissions in their cars that come from there. With too much transmission fluid, this will destroy a transmission, especially in these newer cars.With electronic transmissions and computerized. Sorry I won't do business there again. Update 8-12-2024 My daughter carried her truck back to let them check and see how much they over filled her transmission. Ammco put in 2 quarts to much. They removed it. Glad they admitted they were wrong on hers.

Was given a $1537.98 quote to remove and replace my control arms both front and back when I took it in for a simple alignment. Took my car to my certified Mercedes mechanic since he had just worked on my car without mention of the above. My car has absolutely nothing wrong with the control arms. My husband also looked at my car and verified this. I took it to another business and had it aligned. They also verified there was nothing wrong with my control arms. Beware!!

02/06/25 I got a new set of tires and needed another front end alignment. Amanda (front desk) and Will (mechanic) were both great! I had an appointment so I got un and out quick! Thanks guys (and gal) :). I got a front end ligned up after I bought some tires (shout out to Discount Tire for recomending this place) and Mike the owner (or maybe just manager) was great- he worked me in pretty quick. Mechanic seemed very experienced. I'll be back.

Being from North Carolina , I'm not familiar with most South Carolina businesses. I was taught that your word was sacred . Your word meant more than money. Now that I got that out. From day one I was told AAMCO could fix my transmission. That was a lie. I've been told that other problems prevent AAMCO from doing what they were paid to do.Now the transmission leaks and it still slips.I've been told that they can work something out like working on another vehicle of mine. Over six thousands dollars and I have incurred additional problems. Towing cost, transmission fluid on new driveway(less than one year old).My car sits under a car tarp in driveway with a tray under my car so that it won't leak more fluid. " AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care". What a joke!
