If you want to get robbed by a ballpoint pen instead of a gun, come to AJ’s automotive. Didn’t think that spending $10,000 on a new engine would be such a pain, the “mechanics” here found a way. These employees and their .net certificates made my car worse than it was when I had it towed in, and they put in a new engine. Considering going to AJ’s? Push your car off the cliffs of San Pedro and buy a new one, same experience, at least you’ll get a show with the ladder. Beware.

I was referred by the mechanic at one of their competitors shops, because they are one of the few shops that service mini coopers. I went in for transmission service and the guys were honest all the way with me. They charged me less than $300, when the dealer was asking $700. My car is supercharged, so I had plenty of concerns. Now my only concern is getting new tires lol. Thank you AJ's.

Many businesses can be great on your first visit but often, in my experience, disappoint thereafter. After using AJ’s over the years for different issues (older American car) they have proven to be consistently COMPETENT, HONEST, and FAIR. They had been recommended time after time by locals, leading me to give them a shot at fixing my car of a problem which two other establishments had failed to fix. Someone (forgot name), who must have been a very sharp and experienced mechanic, finally was able to discover the problem and permanently fix it. On top of that, their estimate was the most reasonable that had been offered. Recently, I used them and once again, they were good and honest. They honored replacing a part that had stopped working even though it had been out of warranty, modestly only charging me for the part, not the labor. I did note that the owner Andres runs a tight ship, only keeping the best mechanics, something that I believe has given him the edge over shops. Thanks AJ's !

Took my car in for Smog test and an oil change. They were super fast and super friendly. They actually charged me a lower than the original quoted price when I went to pick up the car because they ended up not spending as much time on it... never saw a mechanic do that. I will def. be using AJ's as my regular mechanic from now on.

Outstanding performance and customer service. They are typically busy, but for good reason. They know what they're doing. I brought my 2010 Dodge Ram in recently for an Evap issue that I thought would never be resolved. I replaced 3 items on my truck, took it to Dodge, and 3 other mechanics, not one person could fix my issue. I left my Dodge with AJs for a little over a week. They fixed it and finally got my vehicle to pass smog after multiple failed tests from other locations. I spent over a grand and countless hours at other places, but this place saved me from nearly having my vehicle be not drivable in California. Great group of people and very helpful. Would be in a bad spot without them. Will go there for any future repairs I may have later on and refer as many people as I can there. Thanks for everything!!
