I will start this review with the good, first they seemed excellent at customer service , they were timely in getting my car done, they dealt with my warranty which is a pain. So why the one star review? Last week I was told my car a 2011 Audi A8 was done. I paid over the phone and sent my mom and step dad to pick it up. They couldn't replace my seat cushions due to their upholstery person having issues and said to bring it back in a couple of weeks. Okay, good so far. They also take my synchrony car care card which was a huge plus. My entire family has Audis and we were looking for somewhere new to get them serviced. I had hoped that Akbar was that place. Yesterday 5 days after picking up the car I get a cryptic message from their office manager stating he 'needed to speak with me about the A8.' Thinking this was about the upholstery I called back. He proceeded to tell me that they returned a $300 part and that now magically I also owe them an additional $350. When I questioned this the office person stated that he would "explain it to me as simply as possible" I am sorry but you screwed up now you think that it is appropriate to patronize a customer. He then went on about the verbal estimate he gave me several weeks ago supposedly, my understanding did not line up with his numbers. While he reluctantly apologized for his tone this was only because I called him out on it. He claimed he had to 'protect his employer.' Protect them from what, his own idiocy? Bear in mind this was 5 days after the ticket was closed. He closed phone call #1 with "thank you for your business" Wow. I then arrived home yesterday and looked at the bill that was provided last week. There was $1400 on the warranty end and $680 on my end. This extra part was no where on the final billing so I dont even see where it would be subtracted from? I called him back again at 4:45 and he attempted to explain that they could only bill the warranty $1100 because they removed the part that they didnt use. I said okay, so what does that have to do with me? It would be subtracted from their side and not mine. I told him the Math does not Math. I have two Masters Degrees and taught math for years and still couldn't figure out what he was claiming. He then told me that the final bill I had was all wrong. Huh? Their office manager basically risks throwing away thousands of dollars in business over his own stupidity and behavior (an oil change next time would have covered most of that). I certainly wouldn't send my mom and stepdad there at this point, both have Audis, my wife has an etron and my sister a Q5, all are just a couple of years old (my A8 is the oldest). By the way per BAR as well as in any court of law there would be no recognition of that additional $300 that they charged as it was not on the final billing. Verbally last week I was told the warranty was covering the $1400 and that the $1400 line item they were receiving back from the warranty. He also claimed the $300 was subtracted from the warranty side and that they were getting $1100, once again what did this have to do with me and magically owing $300 additional dollars? He had no good answer. It is really unfortunate as when I go to a shop I am loyal for years. My former Audi guy retired. A customer service oriented shop would have recognized this, eaten the $300 regardless, recognizing they would be brought much more business. Once again they returned the $300 part not mentioned, but yet added to the warranty side and the warranty was covering $1100 apparently. So I owed no more. I would like to hear from the owner by phone, I will be calling my cc company to challenge this charge based on the receipt and their statements. This was completely unacceptable.

Great experience! I called last minute for a service in my vehicle. They accommodated me even though it was out of the ordinary for the type of work they do. Very professional and a great atmosphere to wait in if you're hanging out for your vehicle to be done.

I came in with my bf’s Porsche because another auto place didn’t know enough about these cars. Perry greeted me both times and is just the sweetest woman. Thane is the Porsche expert and he talked us through everything. We ended up having to replace a part that had to be ordered directly from Porsche and it took awhile but Thane called with regular updates and I never felt out of the loop. They did an amazing job on the car and fixed everything at an affordable price. I will definitely be returning here and I highly recommend it.

I couldnt have asked for a better, smoother experience at Akbar Auto! Staff was very helpful and went above and beyond to get my car fixed. Everything was communicated to me and there were no surprises. Forever grateful!
