The owner was cool with me, I visited him a few times and was able to get parts at reasonable prices. Will keep going back.

Went there for an oil change & check up… after overpaying for an oil change, they told me I also needed new brakes for my front tires for ~$700. I went somewhere else (holland car care, would recommend) because their price estimate was far better. After going there, I’ve been informed I 1. don’t need new brakes 2. need a new axel boot (which VW & Japanese Shop missed). Holland car care showed me pictures of both parts (brake pads being fine and axel boot being broken). Way worse is that during the VW & Japanese oil change, they didn’t screw in the screw all the way, meaning my car was leaking oil this whole time and, if the screw fell out, my engine would’ve been killed. not pleased with the VW & Japanese shop, go to Holland Car Care

AVOID This guy is an amateur. He charged me way over because he could. I just came into a very nice split bus as a family gift, but it needed a new engine.I bought a rebuilt engine for my bus from him via Craigslist (first mistake). In the ad he said that engine install was free with core. Not so. He decided my engine did not qualify (at this point I am at his mercy, bus is in his shop). all said, $2k for a 1600 DP, plus $3k for engine install , brakes (no hard lines) and a fuel system rebuild. way too much. I want a refund based on true cost To top it off, after the brake job he missed the fact that the rear driver side axle bearing failed prior to him replacing the rear axle seal even though I could see the leaking grease on the wheel(thought it was brake fluid)before he started the work. I picked it up, drove it home and halfway there a Good Samaritan pointed out I was spitting gear oil out of the rear ds wheel. I called Joe and he said I could make it home. I used AAA to get it back to the shop (should have been on his dime) and then he charged me another $150.00 to fix the part that he SHOULD HAVE SEEN WHEN HE DID THE BRAKES AND THE SEAL. I feel defiled. Crazy as it sounds, he tried to convince me that here was about another $1k in steering repairs. It took me 5 minutes to figure out it was the draglink. Funny thing is i asked if he tried to work the steering box and he said "yes". that was impossible due to a welded tow bar that blocked access. Avoid this guy. If you do ever meet him (Joe), note that he will not look you in the eye when you shake his hand.

Friendly, helpful, fair priced(especial in mountain view). Took my bus in for miscellaneous repairs. Fixed extra(some done at no charge) and called to verify changes in estimate.
