I just want to give a shout out and thank Ron & his crew for being such a friendly and trusting group. As a female, it isn't easy to leave my car without wondering if I will get honest service. Their mission is to treat customers like family and to provide good quality work. It's such a blessing to have found such a great group of people I can rely on when I need help with my Nova and I love that Ron is an enthusiast. Thanks again for putting the new battery in at no cost! You rock!

I’ve gotten work done twice now at Ann Arbor Transmissions, and have left happy and impressed both times. Justin, who handles the scheduling and customer communication, is professional and timely. I’ve needed help under fairly short notice both times now, and with clear communication my expectations have been exceeded both times.

Ron and his crew have been my #1 go to for all of our cars maintenance and repairs. I’m a mom of a 20 year old and 17 year old and “Uncle Ron” has always been honest and helpful with getting our older used cars running smoothly and within our budget. I highly recommend Ann Arbor Transmission! I’ve remained a loyal customer for over 5 years and I have always been satisfied with the quality of their work.

I took my car there after a shadetree mechanic friend of mine suspected a strange sound was coming from my CVT transmission (he doesn't mess with CVTs and instead refers people to this place). After a few hours, they called me and told me the sounds weren't coming from the transmission and instead were coming from my timing belt, which they don't do. They sent me on my way without charging me. Overall, a pretty great experience and I truly appreciated their effort in diagnosing the problem area at no charge. If I have any transmission issues in the future, I will use them.

I called today for the first time to get a general idea of pricing for these certain services they provide. As listed on the website they offer alternatives to complete transmission replacement such as rebuild or repair HOWEVER when I described my issue which really could be just a repair and not that my entire transmission is shot, the gentleman on the phone went straight for the kill right out the gate. Let me explain. I told him I was a female who had been accustomed to the men in her family addressing vehicle issues her whole life and apparently he took that as I’m stupid and naive to the actual cost of things. I was treated exactly like a woman who is seen coming a mile away being sold things that she don’t actually need because she don’t know better. My vehicle is mechanically sound but it is a 2010 nonetheless. A 2010 ford escape. I tell this man that I have had zero indicators that my transmission failure was about to happen until it did I woke up to my truck being like this. Could it be a computer related issue? Does my fluid need flushed? But instead of offering different price points for different services based on the least severe and most severe case scenario this man went straight into the only solution is a $5000 overhaul lol I said sir why? I laughed. I literally just priced a rebuilt transmission from Detroit fenix auto parts with a warranty on it for $1828 with tax. And then he didn’t even offer the option of rebuilding the transmission I have he immediately went to it has to he replaced. Their website states they offer so many different solutions to fit your needs they want to save the customer money but I can’t tell. When I asked him to explain the exorbitant quote for a 2010 vehicle that probably isn’t worth $5000 he started back peddling once I stated I just priced out a transmission at $1828 but was interested in repair or rebuild of my own to save money and he didn’t seem happy that I wanted to go cheaper and started scoffing at me and saying well if that’s what you WANNA do then yeah we can search for one from our local vendors…ummm no thanks. 🙂‍↔️ the way he answered me right out the gate with a $5000 quote and didn’t even try to be remotely understanding or appear to listen to me telling him how vulnerable I was in this moment being without my truck and he instead seized the moment to try and make a profit instead of being fair. This is why I won’t be having my truck serviced by this place I’m sad because based on the reviews I should of had a way better experience here EDIT TO ADD RESPONDING TO ME AND INVALIDATING MY EXPERIENCE AS WELL AS CASUALLY ACTING AS IF ITS ON ME NOT YOU THAT YOU HAVE POOR SALESMEN SKILLS AND EVEN WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS IS WILD. I SAID WHAT I SAID. MEN PREY ON WOMEN AND TRY TO TAKE FULL ADVANTAGE AND IF THAT WASNT THE VIBE YOU WAS ON I SURE CANT TELL.
