This is the ONLY shop I will go to. They are the first and only shop I've been to where they send you a detailed report with photos, explanations and pricing up front before any work is done. The transparency is astounding. There is no pressure and you have the option to pick and choose what work you want to have done. Call ahead to set up an appointment. You can drop your car off during business hours or after hours. If you drop off after hours they have a form available for you to fill out with an envelope to put your keys in.

This was my first and it will not be my last experience with Auto Stop Arlington. From drop off to pick up Erica and the entire team made me feel comfortable about my car issues another mechanic could not resolve. Unlike BMW Alexandria, Erica maintained communication with updates. I was super appreciative of the detailed graphics and explanation of items in need of attention and recommendations for the future. I have never received such thorough diagnostics. Your experience at Auto Stop sounds exceptional! Here's a polished version of your review: I called Auto Stop regarding my 2017 Mercedes C300 to address engine noise and to replace a shattered rear quarter window (I was burglarized). I initially spoke with Erika, who was very helpful and polite. She then transferred me to Immel, who assisted with my insurance and even took the necessary pictures to submit to my insurance company, so I didn't have to return to the shop. Unfortunately, my insurance company offered a low settlement, so I decided not to use it. Immel reached out later the same day I dropped off the car and informed me that they couldn't find anything wrong with it. Instead of unnecessarily replacing parts, he provided an affordable fix for the engine noise, which has made a significant improvement. For the window replacement, he coordinated with a company they use and ordered the part directly from Mercedes. Although the car was in the shop for just under a week, Immel arranged for a loaner car at no extra charge, which was a huge relief since I wasn’t using my insurance. Additionally, Immel saved me money by salvaging one of my car parts instead of replacing it. When I returned the loaner and picked up my car today, it was quiet and had the OEM window installed. They even cleaned up the broken glass from the interior. Erika was professional and polite once again at checkout and even offered me a goody bag! I will be bringing my Benz to Auto Stop for all future maintenance and repairs. I highly recommend this shop to anyone with automotive troubles or maintenance needs, especially for German cars. Their honesty and professionalism are unmatched, and I haven’t found another shop in the area with a comparable level of service.

Awesome place! It’s tucked away so a bit hard to find, but great staff. I got a flat tire and they were able to patch it in the timeframe I needed. I had come late in the afternoon.. explained I needed to pick it up before my flight in the morning. They made no promises, but by close of business, it was ready to go, guaranteed it to hold up for the trip and the life of the tire. I was later able to drive it across the country with no issues. Exactly what I needed. I expected to pay $150-200 and up, considering how businesses in the area gouge you on prices and try to scare you into making more purchases like 2 tires (as a female..). I paid about $60, more than fair. And they were honest with me. Would definitely come back.

I’m currently sat in their office because they’re working on my car on Christmas Eve. The people who work at this shop are kind, trustworthy, highly skilled, frankly I could go on and on about them. They are the most communicative and informative group that I have ever had the please to work with. Past experience with mechanics in the area has been pretty awful, with them highkey making fun of you if you don’t know what they’re talking about and charging for unnecessary things to be done. That’s something you’ll NEVER have to worry about here. They categorize what needs to get done in terms of urgency, they price everything beautifully, and if something isn’t right they take care of it right away, always putting out safety and our satisfaction first. And yeah I’ll say it again they are just flat out good people. They have my absolute trust after several visits over the past year. Good people and good work.

This is hands down the best auto repair shop I’ve been to! I’ve taken my car here a couple of times, starting with a diagnostic evaluation. They provided detailed pictures and videos of the needed repairs, which was super helpful. Both Immel and Geo were amazing—they took the time to explain what needed immediate attention and delivered top-notch customer service. I highly recommend this shop to everyone. From now on, this is the only place I’ll be going for repairs!

I have a 2009 car, and I’ve been going to these guys now for almost five years now. They do honest work and have the customer’s best interest in mind. Auto Stop on Four Mile Run is my go to mechanic and will ALWAYS recommend them to anyone looking for a shop. I haven't experienced customer service quite like Erika and Lucas. They have saved my butt SO many times when I had back to back to BACK unexpected repairs and went far out of their way to find me cost effective ways to get my car back out on the road. I was also very touched to receive check ins from this team during the pandemic, asking if I needed anything (even groceries early on). Not only that, but they work incredibly hard with you to almost make a "health plan" for your car. Their inspection reviews show everything they looked at, what needs immediate attention and what may need attention in the future (all with pictures included). They make sure to walk me through what everything means, how damages happen, and what my options are for repairs. I can't thank this shop enough, and they always have treats for my dog when we go to walk home 😊

I was very pleased to be able to bring my car in on short notice and have the work done promptly. While a part had to be ordered, everything was completed on the day that they said it would be. The staff there are always very responsive and helpful. It’s great to know that any previous work that was done on my car is in the system and they’re able to know exactly what to do with any problems that have been continuing.
