This is a phenomenal shop. I had a nail in my tire and they were able to fox it promptly and get me on the road. What makes this place amazing are the people, they are honest and really support their community. They found themselves a repeat customer in me. They are also happy to work on tires for Teslas which is a great plus.

I grew up going here with my parents, and then with my first car as a teenager. I live across the city now but I still go out of my way to go here because they’re so honest. I know they appreciate my loyalty as well. They are a real, old-school family business with integrity. I hope they stick around for another 50 years.

I have an old cargo van and it’s so important to have a great relationship with a mechanic! Matt from B&W has saved me more than once, and always drops everything to help me with a car situation. I highly recommend this honest, local repair shop.

Update: Apparently if you get upset that your car is totaled they will be incredibly rude to you and then claim they were just being honest. Also if you bring your car in and ask for them to specifically check the transmission they won’t, and then they’ll tell you it’s safe to drive after upselling you on a coolant flush, and then your transmission will blow not even a week later, and they will not only not take ownership they actually won’t care at all and will proceed to make fun of you on the phone for being upset. Thanks a lot Matt, you were so wonderfully kind to me…. I’ve spent thousands of dollars there and worked with them for years now, I am ashamed to have told so many folks about them. Lesson learned about yet another mechanic I guess. The only people that work at B&w are scammers and liars who don’t actually complete work you ask for and then lie about your car being safe to drive.

Review for B&W Auto Service I’ve been to B&W Auto once before and spent a significant amount of money—the job was done very well, and I was satisfied with the service. However, this time around was disappointing. I brought my vehicle in, and the company provided a diagnosis and overview of the issues. I agreed to an oil change for $90. When I returned, I was surprised with a bill for $240—this was the first time I heard that number. Without my authorization, they performed a state inspection and charged me a diagnostic fee. Had I known about that in advance, I would not have agreed, especially since other shops offer diagnostics for free. When I questioned the charges, the technician tried to justify not informing me of the full price beforehand. In my opinion, there is no justification for not being transparent with customers. I hope the techs and management take this seriously—clear communication and consent matter. Future customers, like myself, deserve to know what they’re paying for before services are performed. Otherwise, it leaves people feeling misled or cheated
