Bob's Speedometer

Honestly I do not know if this place is operating at the same quality of work I received, but I have to again pullout my gauge cluster and try and troubleshoot problems and this seemed like a good time to talk about it. Paid $800 basically for a new board, they fixed the speedo and replaced the fuel gauge (wrong text color). For that price they did not included painting of the cover, polishing the lenses etc. Also my speedometer cabled snapped about a week in (I do not know if the two are correlated, but highly suspicious). I don't remember if there was a manufacturer reproducing boards at the time but they are $200 +/- these days. I didn't have a local shop or expertise, but this was too much for not enough.

The work I received from Bob's Speedometer was amazing. The custom faces are better than I expected. My gauge journey started at a different shop that took my $ and was very disappointed with what I got. Bruce took care of me and gave me an incredible final product! I couldn't be happier!

J Shaw CA. Seen these guys on the net they looked good so I called and spoke with Bruce he gave me a restore price of 550.00 to 700.00 on my 62 Buick Electra so a few months later I sent it. I received a call letting me know they can do it and it will be 861.00 So 161.00 over the top estimate I had received but hey Bruce seemed on the up and it was already there so I agreed to have it done. I was excited to see it when it returned, the packing was great the box was in perfect condition but when I got it all opened up I of course started looking it over and checking function and first thing I tried [the speed buzzer] had to be heavily forced to turn the knob to set it and so I looked further and found the light bulbs and fixtures were all the original parts and some holders were loose and broken. I called immediately and spoke with Bruce where he instantly started blaming UPS saying they use the packages like foot balls I informed him the package was perfect in and out but he still insisted. I sent it back to him with a copy of the original invoice and when I had not heard from him in close to three weeks I called. At that point he ask well what do you want done to it . I had to explain it all again and mentioned I was not happy with the job done and there where broken bulb holders and old bulbs still in it. Ok he said we will fix it send it back, and reimburse you for shipping. Couple weeks later it's back, package looks good and this time when I opened it first thing I noticed was a broken ear for the right top mount. Next thing was there was a rattle of a loose piece inside the cluster and still all the old light holders and old bulbs. I was pissed and not about to send it back again so I opened it up to find a locating pin had been broken off and left inside the unit to rattle away, also no check for the return shipping. I called Bruce again and explained what I had found to him in witch he had no concerns he ask again how much I spent for shipping and said he would send a check. I received the check yesterday so now I will post this warning to all. YOU DO NOT GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR and there is little to NO CUSTOMER SERVICE OR CARE in the quality of repair.I know there is allot of good reviews but all old ones.
