Brakes 4 Less

My wife took her car in because there was a noise coming from the front end. I thought after some mountain driving that maybe her rotors or whatnot may be warped. I'm no expert, but I knew it was coming from the front. I was told by the manager that it was the rear wheel cylinders, and it'd be 950$-1k$ to fix, and the parts would take 5 days to come in. We decided to go somewhere esle. The honest shop told us her front wheel bearings were bad and replaced them for a fraction of the cost that was quoted at this brakes for less location for a issue that wasn't even a issue, the rear brake drum pins still had the factory paint on them, so i imagine it wasn't even inspected. So what? we would have waited 5 days for parts that weren't even faulty to begin with to be repaired, and there still would have been a front-end noise, which was the original problem. Maybe this was a huge mistake/error, but we won't be back ever.

My front brakes went out and I came here expecting to get a deal cause the name is brakes for less and the are running specials but when they called me back they told me that it would be 1200 for front brakes!!!!! I towed my car to somewhere else and paid 366 for the same thing they was going to do PLEASE STOP TAKING ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE AND THEIR MONEY!!!! Wayyyyyy over priced always get a second option

The guys at the Simpsonville Brakes 4 Less did an awesome job. They took my car without an appointment, did the inspection, and replaced two rotors and the pads on the front and back all in under 4 hours. The price was very reasonable. In fact, the last time I did my brakes at another local shop, it was considerably more expensive. I'll definitely go back.

I called and got the message center to make appointment. They told me all 4 breaks and turn rotors was 199$. When I got the call after dropping it off, they assessed it to be closer to 400$. I told them I just wanted the 199$ deal and not put breaks on front. I had just put high quality breaks the week before so no need. It would be an extra 100$ not to do front breaks. After back and forth with him he gave me a price of 139$ for back and 100$ to do rotors on front. Ok. I’m fine with that and agreed. I just saw a day later my wheel center covers are destroyed. All but one, and it has paint knocked off. They said nothing when I picked it up. That is crazy. I’m going back to give them a chance to make it right. If not , I will post update. I’m not a mean person or someone that gets mad easily. But this is just poor judgement, work,and ethics. If I’m not made whole, I will be a very big thorn in their side. I hope the owner is looking at this. I see he only responded to good reviews and not to bad. He should at least try. Give some words that shows he will look into things. Try to fix them. Try to make it a better place.

Edit review: I gave them another star because the general manager called me back and stated he talked to Daniel the Simpsonville manager. He stated Daniel agreed I had been I had been there too long and deserved to been helped better. A discounted refund was provided for my time. I would not recommend this place to anyone. This is my second time getting my brakes done here. The first time I had to return within a week and they stated they messed up and should have done something else I can’t remember but they fixed the issue so I felt safe to return. I set an appointment. I was checked in at 10:40am. I was not completed until around 3:03-3:30pm. It was a hot day. They had 2 other people in there complaining of the wait time. A car pulled in after the 2 people and myself and they made that car top priority. They got that car in before mine and finished it up within an hour. I found that odd that Daniel the manager would allow that to happen. It was time for the guy that checked in at 10:30am to leave around 2:30pm and he was offered 1-2 discounts on his service. When it came time for my check out I inquired about a discount for the wait of my service and was told no. When I called customer service they stated it was because the guy before me had a different situation, however I was standing next to the guy when he called customer service he never had a different situation. The price of the brakes for me was 3x what was listed online. I was told I needed 2 back pieces of equipment but it was the same as what they took off. I spent over 4 hours at this place and at times watching my car sit with no one touching it. I would say go to the one in Greenville but I overheard Daniel the manager tell a woman that the one in was over packed and has a wait too.
