Josue at CARSTAR is awesome and the entire staff was friendly as I got my Tesla repaired like new here. I couldn’t tell there was even a scratch much loan the new bumper and fender they put on. Q stands for quality. But in my mind these guys are AA - or what I call absolutely awesome. A before and after pic is attached. I couldn’t tell if anything ever happened. If you want quick service and knowledgeable about Teslas, this is the “go to” place.

The overall process was good and smooth. Good customer service. Personable. Always communicated. But the attention to detail in the actual repair was lacking. The car needed buffing and polishing and wheels had marks that weren’t there on pick up. Had to stay a hour to get those done. They didn’t clean the inside. They didn’t reassemble the inside parts as nicely as they should have with some visible gaps which should have been fixed. Biggest issue being they missed one part under the door completely which had a gash from the accident. So I have to bring the car back for another session. The dates for pick up kept shifting (they were transparent in saying the mechanic didn’t show up). Think they should have a QC manager to ensure the car is in tip top shape before calling for pick up.

There aren’t many Tesla approved repair shops near me in San Gabriel Valley area. It took a while for me to find a shop that I trust and insurance is approved. Once I decided to use them after reading multiple reviews, I decided to repair my Tesla model 3 here, 2 years ago. They did a really good job and I just had to use them again for my model Y. They provide updates to me via text every few days and that’s all I needed to know and if I can get car back in the estimate repair time. They got it done early both times and I’m quite happy. If you goto their shop for the estimate, over half the cars there, are Teslas. So you know their staff are familiar with how to handle EV.

My experience was not good. 1-They damaged my seat and gaslighted me I had dropped my car off and went to get and rental I came back to get my stuff from the car. I saw the seat had been damaged between the time. I notified them and I was told it would be fixed. Then I call to make sure it would be taken car off and they Josue pretended not to know about it I followed up back and forth with him and finally got a call fro Arshak Arshak told me he had not seen that damage in his 25 years of working there and it was I who damegaed it. I told him I had pictures of the car also a pre inspection report where they went over every damage including interior that was done by Josue and I had a copy for that. I was told that report was irrelevant. Nevertheless they fixed it but it does feel a little different. 2- They damaged my bumper and told me it was not covered. The bumper was scrapped when they took it out even though they didn’t finish the bumper they should have touched up the part that was damaged during disassembly. I understand if insurance doesn’t cover it, but if the shop damages something they should finish it up. 3- My rear view camera is blurry. My rear camera is extremely blurry they probably smudged it while putting it up 4- There are micro scratches all over the car even the areas that were supposed to be fixed. 5- Micro dents on the hood were not fixed. I was told to come in next week to get it finished and not wash my car. They filled them up. 6- Mirrors were also not finished even though they were a part of the damage . Was told to come next week 7- They also tried to get rid of me when I was pointing out the damages and stuff that needed rework All in all I’m unsatisfied by over 8 k repair and I would have loved a little bit more professionalism on the actual work that was done on the car. They didn’t even start working on the car until Tesla approved their second supplement saying they are gonna do it all at once. The car was rushed and not given the care it was needed. They are really good talkers but I don’t know about the quality of work
