Chris is an absolute guardian angel! Saved my car with an excessive gas leak. The manager at Maffeis was very rude and said he wouldn’t look at my gas leak and said he wouldn’t help me, but he did send me to Central Coast Auto Center. Honest, efficient, and talented. Central Coast went above and beyond to handle an unforeseen circumstance that left me at their shop in a bind. “I’ll take a look and do everything I can to help” was the unexpected response from the gentleman that took the phone call and greeted me. A mechanical issue is never a welcome occurrence, especially when on the road to a job, but Central Coast Auto Center did everything and then some. Way more than I could have asked for and a hell of lot more than expected. They found the issue, handled the repair, and set up a tentative follow up appointment to make sure all is good. 5 stars truly isn’t enough. No doubt there are many shops to choose from, but it’s more than just a fix … it’s the overall experience and Central Coast Auto Center delivered. Thanks a million. Do yourself a favor and let them take care of your automotive needs. It’s not just a fix, it’s an experience.

I just went there this morning. Friendly, fast and a clean shop. I did not have an appointment, but they took care of my car, smogged right away. I highly recommend Central Coast Auto Center in Morro Bay.

My pristine 1985 jeep, CJ 7 was no longer able to pass smog. My options were to sell it out of state or to surrender it as junk. Chris suggested that I possibly look into a California legal fuel injection system. I did the research and found one manufacturer HOWELL, who was approved by CARB to make an after market computer controlled throttle body which was California street legal. I felt comfortable that Chris was a honest and capable mechanic, I asked him if he would install the device which was quite complicated. Chris had the jeep for several days, and when I returned, I discovered that the new computer controlled fuel injection system far exceeded my expectations. Chris did a extremely professional job of installing the system and I couldn’t be any happier. The performance was nothing like I had ever experienced with this jeep, even when it was brand new. The jeep passed the smog test with flying colors and produced lower emissions than most new vehicles. I highly recommend Chris for any mechanical service you may need. PS I visited thIs shop before it was purchased by Chris several years ago. This is not the same shop. This is not the same owner
