Most of these posts are not legitimate. Look at the number of reviews (1) from the five star "people" claiming to have done business there. Go to Yelp, the Better Business Bureau (F) and contact the Bureau of Automotive Repair and see for and judge for yourself. Like MANY other people who, unfortunately did business here, I was lied to, cheated out of thousands and still had to have my vehicle properly repaired at a Licensed shop. Please, before you do any business here, check out all the court cases against this business and ALL reviews on the BBB and yelp website. As of May 2024 Coast Auto Care does NOT have an active license to do automotive work/repairs according to the Bureau of Automotive repair. I have been by this business different times of the day and different days of the week. The gate is chained and locked, the shop doors are always closed, there is mail stuffed in the box, the light meters are removed and there is no one in the yard. It looks like this place is out of business.

You would be better taking your car to wal mart than to this guy. He took my money upfront for a brand new T56 transmission- he then put a shred one in that broke on me in about a month. Stay away from this place.

May 2,2024 CUSTOMERS BEWARE! DO NOT GO HERE! Bad business from start to finish. Terrible customer service. Owner Jason only communicate through text if he ever respond. Will never answer his phone. Long story short this is a scam operation. Jason takes your deposit, never fixes the issue, claims there more wrong to get money, to ultimately say they don’t have the time come pick up your car. They had my car for 3 weeks and did nothing. Naturally I wanted my deposit back ($550) once picked up and remove by tow. Jason stole my deposit. Won’t respond, won’t return my deposit. I didn’t want to leave a review because I know Jason doesn’t care about reviews but I had to warn folks out in Oceanside and SD County. Now I have to waste my time taking him to court, dealing with the BAR, police reports, and posting reviews. If refund me my deposit today Jason as I asked I’ll remove this review.

Our family was refereed to Coast auto by a couple of our car club members. They warned that couple of the reviews did not look good.We were assured that was not there norm and there was legal actions taken against some for making false statements. We did decide to take in our el camino for an engine upgrade to a LS3. It was beyond our expectations. We highly recommend check out there Instagram page you won't be sorry about them.
