Complete Car Care Encinitas

TLDR: They killed my battery, didn’t want to take responsibility, and then left my car in a handicap spot… I came in for a diagnostic check for a check engine light. They had it for 3 days and didn’t find anything wrong. I get the car back and the battery is DEAD, from them leaving the light on. My remote for the car wasn’t even working, we couldn’t open the door. They had us drive my car around for “15 min so they can test the battery after that.” They didn’t test the battery anfter and just told me to turn it off and on again, and it didn’t start up again.. SO they kept the car to ‘charge it’ , but now they need to keep it for the weekend.. LOU tried to tell me that ‘their technician didn’t have a reason to turn the light on cause it was day time , so it wasn’t them” I said “you guys had my car for 3 days and admitted it was running fine 3 days in a row, now my car is dead” .. Lou did not want to take accountability.. it made going to work extremely difficult.. ONE WEEK later , they say my car battery and alternator are fine and the battery is charged… *LOU* was Unwilling to make any sort of compromise and I will be speaking with a manager.. oh yeah, and they left my car in a handicap parking after the week of ‘repairs’ .. STAY AWAY

I can't recommend Complete Car Care enough! I've been bringing my vehicles here regularly for service, and they never disappoint. My most recent visit was for a starter replacement, and once again, they exceeded my expectations. Chad, the tech who replaced the starter, did an outstanding job—everything is running perfectly now. Brandon at the front desk was professional and kept me updated throughout the process, which I truly appreciated. A special shout-out to Lou, the store manager, who went above and beyond to keep me informed every step of the way. The team's professionalism, expertise, and commitment to excellent customer service are unmatched. It's always a pleasure working with them, and I trust them completely with my cars. Five stars all the way!

I couldn’t have had a more peaceful 2 month long process & 3 weeks without a car. Brandon & Ian worked together as a team working alongside complete open communication via texts & calls with updates etc.. Brandon worked expediently with my Extended Warranty Company (True Auto) & their Rep. Allen, and gave contact information to Brandon, when this all started. Prior to coming to Complete Car Care Encinitas I had always used the dealership, but my confidence in the dealership was eroded by a failure of my emergency brake to engage at all, 10 days after my last service. I brought it to Complete Car Care Encinitas. I made an appointment at opening time and there was no one there. I left as I was in a rush to get to work. The second visit I was charged $195 just for the estimate of the job. This seemed expensive. They assured me it took 2 hours to find out, what was going on with the brakes. The part, they said was back ordered and it would take 3-5 days to get and it would cost $2500 to repair. I didn't feel confident in continuing with the job and thought at that price I might as well bring it to the dealership. However a week later the emergency brake started working again on its own....I'm glad I did not proceed with Complete Car Care. I will not be returning to them nor the dealership and am looking for new mechanic.

This brake job was done on the same day I stopped by and had the brakes checked. That was a huge relief. They got the brakes and rotors changed and now the car is safer. I waited in their waiting area which was also clean and dust free, a huge plus due to my allergies. I liked the link they sent with an “estimate of work” and then you click, “Inspection Results.” There you can see that they looked over many aspects of your car. It is a well run established business. Now one of the mechanics said that I had hot spots on the rotors. In hind sight, and being a woman who worries about being taken to the cleaners by auto mechanics, I should have asked for my old parts so my bf could have checked for hot spots. But my gut told me that the work was legit and needed to be done. ✅ so I approved the job and had it all done. The only improvement was if they told me how long the brake pads would now last. Genie in a bottle? But I am still happy with my experience.
