If you have a VW, I highly recommend getting it serviced here. I am not originally from here and anyone who drives a VW knows how hard it is to find a good mechanic. Mike fixed exactly what was making the dreaded noise without recommending thousands of dollars of unnecessary work. The other shop that I got the original quote from wanted to replace the front strut assembly and the sway bar end links, when all it took was the tightening of a few bolts. I had a great mechanic at home who I took my multiple VWs to for years, making it very difficult for me to find a mechanic who is just as good. I believe after just one appointment; I have become a lifelong customer.

Originally I didn't plan on typing a review and just leaving it at 5 stars after reading the low reviews. I felt it was so necessary to share my personal experience. I obviously am a female. My name is destiny Lol..well, he quoted me every single time on my 1986 cabriolet. Better than any other place that I had ever been to by hundreds of dollars.I went to him for about.I wanna say 3-4 years I had the most positive experiences with him over any place I've ever had to go to. He does such a quality job. Everything that he has suggested. I get done the first few times that I went to him. I had checked out on another place. And they told me the same things needed replacement. This created a bond of trust. I never had an issue with him being sketchy. I never had an issue with him being flirty, which happens a lot. I went to him as a young teenager which is really a hotspot for being taken advantage of in a job like this. He always got me in very quickly. Got me out just as quick. I don't think my car would have ran as long as it did if I did not find him. He treated my car like gold. I've never seen any of his other cars on his lot. Ever sit for too long unless they were needing extreme repair or his prject type cars. I personally think he is an amazing person. I think he is an amazing mechanic. And now that I have moved back into Nebraska from California, I don't plan on ever going anywhere other than here. I understand that sometimes things happen that lead to a bad experience. And I completely understand that I understand some people didn't have the best experience. One review that I read said that even though they had provided proof that the charge had gone through on the customers end it wasn't coming through on the mechanics end. And they kept their vehicle as collateral until it went through. I've had this happen to me at upscale. Dealerships, it is not unheard of it is to protect the owner. And mechanics that put hours and hours and money into correcting any issues in your vehicle. I know that it might not be an experience that 99% of people who get their vehicles fixed anywhere have to deal with but it is not unheard of I have this happen in California and here in Nebraska. Other than that, all I have to say is, if you feel like you're taking a chance going here, DONT! You are in great hands and I promise you will have a great experience like I did for so many years.

I drive all the way from Valley, NE to get my Jetta serviced here. Only place I trust to take my car, and Mike does a phenomenal job!!

I want to thank Mike at Corky's for taking good care of my 1974 beetle and all of its little repairs needed after sitting in a shed for 19 years. He is very knowledgeable and trustworthy. He was helpful and patient as I typically have a lot of questions. I am grateful to find them, and plan to use them for maintenance and repairs in the future.

We've taken our old VW to Corky's several times in the past year and we are always pleased with the price, service, and friendliness. Straightforward and timely service that we trust. When he quoted us a price for a big repair the final bill even come in under what was originally estimated; that's honesty.
