Costco Tire Center

Literally feeling like we must be on a prank show. Unfortunately these guys just don’t want to work for their paycheck. We ordered tires a month ago. It took two weeks to get them. We were in top of it too, calling once a week to check on their arrival. On the second week we called but they said they’re still not in. Come to find out they were actually there when we called BUT it seems it was too much work for the person on the phone to look for them to let us know. Next we tried to make an appointment, asking for the person that initially helped us (he seemed competent). He was busy so my husband asked to leave a message, the guy said “If I remember.” Laughable. Next up, we get in for our appointment. Hang around Costco for an hour and a half waiting for the call that they’re done. My husband decides to check on the progress. You will not believe this 😂 Apparently, they don’t have the lug nuts to remove the wheels! So an hour and a half later, no one thought to call and let us know that they can’t do the job today. So my husband then must stand in line for 20 mins at customer service for a refund. Don’t do it. These guys are freaking morons 🤯

Good deals on tires, installed without issues and with Nitrogen. They offer $FREE rotations every 5400mi. They can't do alignments, yet. They have an outdoor Nitrogen tire inflator. They sell Interstate batteries too.

Do not go to the Norwalk tire center at Costco. I pulled up to the tire center, and there were two men inside working. Both looked at me, but neither one acknowledged me, or waved to me, or motioned to me that they would be with me soon. They glanced at me, ignored me, and kept working like I was not waiting. I can understand if people are busy at work, but you should at least come up to me and say one minute or wave high to me to let me know that you’re not going to ignore me. There is a huge sign saying that customers are not allowed to enter the work area, so I could not go up to them, THEY have to approach the car! After I sat in my car for a while, and no one came up to me to speak to me, I backed up my car to drive away, and that’s when a man came jogging out to see what I needed. I told him “it’s fine” and drove away. If they treat their customers like that, I can’t imagine how careless their work must be. Customer service says a lot about your values.

I have used this location for over 10 years and have always felt that the staff are honest, communicative, and careful in their tire care. They have provided tire rotations (included with tire purchase), nitrogen refills (included with tire purchase), and tire plugging (if possible, included with tire purchase) when needed over the years. Thank you for being my go-to tire center!!

They don’t look like “friendly” as they are stretched out and you will need way more time on hand - but they are good. I just wish they had bit more time to talk/explain various options (more often it’s not just about replacing 1 tire but either full set or in pairs and then finding right fit for season an added issue to go with tire reputation!) I have high regards for Costco and its employees (was stuck with battery issue after store close - they genuinely help!) Tire techs gave good advice given my issues even though it meant paying more but I cross checked with 2 other tire shops. Hopefully 1. They keep better options (for different cars) in stock 2. Have more time to explain issues, or recent customer feedback/catalog by car on tires they purchased to see how new tires would work in your area. Mostly, as of now, it’s just what Costco suggests - and they’ll likely have just 1 good option :)
