I had a fantastic experience at D&L Auto Repair! Andre, the manager, was incredibly knowledgeable and communicated everything clearly about the necessary repairs for my car. I needed a new water pump for my Ford Taurus and a repair for the check engine light code P0442. Andre took the time to thoroughly explain the issues and the steps involved in fixing them. The prices were fair, and the service was top-notch. Not only is this the only place I trust for my Mini Cooper's oil change and repairs, but they also know how to diagnose problems accurately, communicate effectively, and offer competitive pricing. D&L excels in all these areas. I highly recommend them for any car issues!

While driving near a shop on the freeway, my car unexpectedly experienced a power failure. Without delay, I contacted AAA to arrange for my car to be towed to Harvey's Autotech, primarily due to their outstanding Google reviews in the area. To my disappointment, Harvey presented me with a quote of $6140, in addition to an extra $175 examination, for the replacement of a "USED" engine for my 2008 Nissan Sentra 2.0L (they offer a USED, NOT rebuilt). Although they initially offered a 180-day warranty, this was later extended to a one-year period after my second visit (which involved towing my car to another shop). However, despite my explicit request for a comprehensive breakdown of the repair expenses, Harvey failed to provide the detailed information they had promised to send via email. Intriguingly, Harvey also made an offer for a used 2008 TOYOTA priced at $6000 (he said it is about 2008, not exactly sure about the year), which was even more affordable than their proposal for a "USED" engine replacement. In light of this situation, I took the initiative to explore alternative solutions. I visited over 10 different auto shops within the city of Corona. Among these options, the majority of establishments quoted around $3,000 for a used engine replacement, accompanied by a warranty coverage lasting approximately six months. Notably, the boss at D&L not only possessed extensive knowledge about cars but also guided me through crucial aspects such as understanding VIN numbers, evaluating reasonable pricing, and comprehending warranty terms (I also corroborated this knowledge by conducting online research and consulting other auto shops to ensure the reliability of D&L). Additionally, D&L supplied me with a detailed list outlining all indispensable components and related costs associated with the engine replacement. With a sense of assurance, I entrusted my vehicle to D&L due to their transparent business practices. This trust was further solidified when I shared the comprehensive list they provided with nearby shops, resulting in offers that closely paralleled theirs (initially, I collected quotes from other shops and meticulously compared them to D&L's proposal; if discrepancies in the itemized lists emerged, I inquired to both shops about the reasons behind them). Regrettably, a small number of shops exhibited a deficiency in honesty within their dealings, some of them refuse to provide a detailed list and offered an outrageous price. In conclusion, I strongly suggest D&L!

They mis diagnosed my overheating problem and replace something that didn't need to be done... Eventually they figured it out which was obviously the thermostat... But I put my faith in them and it cost me a lot of time... Luckily I have repair insurance that covered most of it... Nice guys, but get a second opinion.
