Dave's Towing Service

I've had experience with this company before. My car while back was illegally seized, and eventually sold by this tow yard. I'm in awe that the Palm Springs Police Department gave them my vehicle because Dave's Towing eventually sold it to someone that lives close by to me. The problem with that is... the car WONT pass California smog due to the fact that I removed the catalytic converter from the header, and that part is not sold ANYWHERE aftermarket, not even in junkyards since it's illegal for junkyards to sell used cats. I still have the title for my car. I then saw a person a few miles away from I live bought my car, and registered it. I still have a spare key for crying out loud. I've been reading other reviews and I can confirm yes this company a hundred percent does shady business.

It was a fine experience. You can tell the front end office worker JoAnne is so used to customers being upset over fees and costs of services she comes off a little defensive and aggressive. After talking with her and warming her up she got a lot more friendly. Doesn't really matter.for the most part they have a trapped customer base and they know it. Facility is nice and my car was safe and was in a well protected area.

Due to my car being incompetently towed, both front tires were severely damaged. Instead of taking responsibility and doing the right thing (replacing the tires that were damaged by their towing service) they turned it on us and created a ridiculous and FAKE conspiracy theory about me “locking up my brakes” while driving, which never happened. This all occurred after I acted very kindly and understanding while picking up my car at the tow yard. They are unreasonable to work with. I literately took these photos the following morning when I could see the damage done and tracks caused by the poor tow. Now, instead of a quick and professional resolution we are forced to pursue this case using legal counsel, costing more time and money to us (and them). Highly suggest avoiding their service as they are unprofessional and do not take responsibility for their mistakes.

I swear they do underhanded deals with the police to basically steal people's cars "legally".... As though having your life turned upside down because of a drunk hit and run wasn't enough, they rack up the bill so fast that it is impossible to get your vehicle out. Then in my situation they "sell" my car while I'm in the hospital for 70$ to some "lien company" and put me in collections for 3,000 in "owed bill" for the time they had my car held hostage before selling it to themselves for nothing. Unbelievable shady business and should be held accountable for this garbage.

Dave's Tow? How about Dave, no, get the hell away from my car! My car was towed by this company and upon picking it up, it was found that they cracked my right rear tail light as well as denting my pinion rack; causing a grinding/ticking sound every steer. Currently dealing with the legal troubles caused by this company. After paying over $350 to get my car, the lady at the front, who I assume is the owner and who really should be in the business of finding a new hairstylist, I explained the damage caused by them and the rude bad-haircut owner lady became bad-haircut-insufferable-attitude owner lady with an obvious lack of empathy or self-accountability. Unprofessional, with a glaring lack of enthusiasm and passion for their company/profession, plus she really needs to revaluate that haircut. This place is as much of a scam as her hairstylist. Go somewhere else.
