Don Rite Auto Smog & Repair

Went in for a smoke test (not smog) and he seemed careless to know or even check my car. We talked over a price 65$ for the test, which he did not do. Initially he stated the car would be 2-3 hours ended up giving him the benefit of the doubt and gave him a day. He didn’t do anything to my car, I ended up doing the smoke test myself with a homemade smoke machine (really easy) and ended up finding the leak I had. I wouldn’t even have bothered because I’m not to ruin one’s business but this is not a business this is a scam. On the day back to pick up my car he wanted to charge me an additional 150$ for god knows what. When he didn’t do anything! Terrible service, I wouldn’t trust them with any work on any vehicle honestly. I know it’s hard to make a living but don’t take advantage of people. Especially from your own community. I will be contacting and notifying the city if any has been done by these people please feel free to reach out Esto no es un negocio, aqui solo vengan pa Que les roben. Vine por un test de humo, y no me le hicieron nada. Solo page para que me vieran la cara. Yo hize el test de humo y encontre el problema. Solo vine aqui para perder mi tiempo y gastar dinero que no tenia. Muy mal servicio.

Came here for Smog Check and oil change a couple of times now and I’m pretty satisfied with their work. They do it pretty quickly and I haven’t had any problems with my car. Prices are good and affordable. They did explain to me the process they were doing when I went there for a smog check and I liked that too. Oh and I love their cats lol

Most mechanics in Los Angeles according to statistics 89% of them are dishonest. I trust Don. He does great work. He’s convenient right across the street from the DMV for smog checks. He’s a little expensive, but for the quality of service is well worth it in the long run.

Higher prices than expected & charged me 79$ just to "look" at my car WITHOUT fixing anything! Then, told me I need to pay 700$ for a new radiator? NO! I bought a radiator in Bellflower for a 129$ and paid my street mechanic a 160$ to replace it! Saved, over 400$ YEP! But, #NOPE #NEVER #ToDonRite
