Family Towing

This company is a joke. They charged me $245 for just showing up at the scene. The next morning I called and asked about their rates, they said $125 for pick up plus a per mile rate. I told them they charged me almost twice for just showing up (and not even a pickup). Their answer was interesting: "Since the police called to tow your car, we charged you the police rate! Customer rate is different!!" Like why would the rate for a police call be different, other than the fact that the owner of the car doesn't have a choice but to pay? After reading the other reviews I realized they are a scam, that somehow the police department works with them. They're waiting for a situation where people don't have a choice, then jump on them and rip them off! Who does business like that?

I would give this business 0 start if possible. One day in July, my husband's car was suddenly on file in Cupertino. We called 911 and firefighters put off the fire. Santa Clara County Sheriff called this towing company to tow away our car. The next day the bill really surprised us. This towing company charges by MINUTES. From the incident location Cupertino to its storage yard in Sunnyvale, it is less than 10 miles (9.3 miles by CA-85N, or 5.3 miles by local route on Google map), The average driving time is around 14 min. This company charged 110 MIN x $4.33/min=$476.3, plus labor fee and storage fee, the total bill is $690.35 By the way, Santa Clara Sheriff doesn't posted towing rate online, and there is no channel to complain the towing companies contracted with it. But SJPD does posted towing rate online. Avoid this towing company.

They use predatory tactics. Charged me 1,852$ out of pocket. They towed my motorcycle off the highway and held it at their yard. After I got out of the hospital 10 days later I went to pick it up. 350$ for towing, 125$ to open the gate, 100$ a day for storage (13 days) comes to 1,300$ and 4% of the transaction if you use a card. 1,852$. These are shameful ways to do business and the city should be a shamed to have the 911 contract with them.

Great service! My tow truck driver Junior was prompt, polite, and was very efficient when picking up and dropping off my dually that the drive shaft came apart on the freeway. I was worried that it would get damaged in the process, but no need to worry! Junior made sure my truck was well taken care of! Great job! Definitely recommend them for all your towing needs!

Arrived half an hour late. Attempted to charge above the SVPD legally approved rates. After paying and reclaiming my vehicle, sent a notice of pending lien sale to myself and the DMV... attempting to sell MY vehicle that is not in THEIR possession. Be very careful about this business and know your rights before coming here. They will try to scam you.
