My car broke down on Saturday afternoon and immediately called Firestone at Carlsbad, CA location and explained what happened. I also learned that Firestone was opened on Sunday too! Which made me take a huge breath of relief at that very moment. I got the okay to have my car towed to this location. I arrived first thing in the morning and even before they opened shop. I was greeted by Arturo who was so professional, kind and understanding and immediately made me feel at ease and comfortable. My tow guy was awesome too and he took a look under my car hood and immediately saw that my serpentine belt was missing, then found the torn pieces on the bottom of the car dust cover. Firestone inspected my car and immediately took care of what needed to be done. The Firestone crew at this location were all so amazing. I was given a 3-hour window and they had my car up and running in less then 2-hours. I was so incredibly grateful and thankful to the entire crew at this location at Firestone especially because I had an additional 7+hours drive to get back to my home in Arizona. Needed an alignment. I called ahead and the service advisor said that they were full, but he squeezed me in first thing when they opened. Miguel was the advisor on the day that I came in. Super professional, calm, courteous. Car drives better than ever. 5 stars all the way!

If you are shopping for a mechanic read this please. I had a complex issue that the dealership could not fully diagnosed unless I gave them several hours of labor just to find the issue, the quote was outrageous ($750) so I took it to the guys here and they found it was either a drive train or CV axels issue in less than an hour but were not 100% sure (my truck is very old and has a lot of issues so it was hard to know for sure). Because they were not positive of the issue they didnt even charge me the fee to diagnose. I told them to go for what I thought the issue was (CV axels) even with the clear direction from the team there that it could possibly not be the issue. I accepted the risk and told them to proceed. Unfortunately it was not the issue so I had them move forward with the drive train and it was solved in less than 24 hours. When we went to the checkout I was in a gray area of giving them direction to proceed with the risk of possibly not being the fix and they could have easily charged me for both issues but the manager Miguel and sales rep Arturo understood my situation was a hard issue to solve due to the age of the vehicle (200,000+ miles) and wanted to make sure I was safe to drive to work the next day. They discounted the first visit below cost to make it more manageable for me and give me all the help possible on the second service. These guys were very honest and did right by me when they didn’t have to (the price was less than the dealership diagnosing fee). And the tech who worked on my car Albert was awesome, he was very fast and knowledgeable and did a lot of research to drill down on what the issues were. I wont be going anywhere else while I’m here. They are also very military friendly and just good guys. You can trust them. TLDR: Miguel, Arturo, and Albert were honest guys who could have billed me several thousands of dollars but helped me get my truck back on the road and safe for a fair and honest price.

Had a 10am appointment for an alignment and tire rotation. They said it would take 2 1/2 - 3 hours. Cool. I called at 1pm and got put on hold and then hung up on. I called back and they hadn’t even gotten to my vehicle that I had an APPOINTMENT for. Did I mention I that had an appointment? Well I did…at 10am. So 2 1/2 hours later I’m the one who has to call them AGAIN and they STILL haven’t gotten to my car. They tell me it will be ready by the end of the day which was 7pm. I get there at 6:30pm to find that my car sat at their establishment for 8 1/2 hours for a tire rotation and alignment for which I made an appointment and they couldn’t seem to get to it and never called me with an update or to reschedule. WHAT IS THE POINT OF MAKING AN APPOINTMENT IF YOU’RE NOT GOING TO WORK ON THE VEHICLE WHEN I BRING IT IN?!
