I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the services provided by California Towing following a recent incident involving my vehicle. Today my vehicle was involved in an accident, and California Towing was called to assist. The initial quote provided by your driver was $133 to tow the vehicle a short distance across the street and $180 if it needed to be delivered to my home. However, after the vehicle was moved less than 100 feet, the driver suddenly demanded $360 just to release the car from the tow bed so that AAA could retrieve it. This sudden and unreasonable increase in price was both shocking and frustrating, especially considering that it contradicted the initial quote provided by your driver. This type of bait-and-switch pricing tactic is highly unethical and feels exploitative during an already stressful situation. Furthermore, after waiting over an hour to speak with a manager, my husband was subjected to an entirely inappropriate and discriminatory comment. When asking about payment methods, the manager rudely asked if we were paying with an EBT card. This was not only irrelevant and unprofessional but also felt like a racially charged remark that left both of us feeling deeply uncomfortable and insulted. It is unacceptable for a company to engage in such practices and to treat customers in this manner. I expect a formal apology for the unprofessional conduct of your staff, a review of your pricing policies, and appropriate action taken to ensure that no other customer is subjected to this kind of behavior.

these guys are unbelievable, but not in a good way! my elderly parents (92 and 93 years old) were hit by a red light runner. They were taken by ambulance to a hospital. Therefore, they didn't have a chance to recover personal items from the car. these yahoos insist that my mom or dad must show up in person (remember they are hospitalized) to retrieve items. they also refer to a form on their website to release the vehicle. but that form requires you upload 1) vehicle registration and 2) insurance card. the kicker is that those are in the car, WHICH IS IN THEIR TOW YARD THAT THEY WILL NOT RELEASE BECAUSE WE DON'T HAVE THOSE DOCUMENTS!!!!!!!! my parents' insurance, Farmers, also called them and got the same runaround. Farmers wants to move the car to their own facility, but this rank tow company wants to keep it there to rack up the charges. I dare. the company owner to respond to this review.

This tow yard is the most un compassionate company! My son just died on March 17th & they towed his Honda for expired registration. My son was homeless and slept in his car. I explained to them I was homeless also sleeping in my car. I asked them if I could make payments because this is all I had of my deceased sons. Rosa told me No! I begged if they could work with me. After showing them a death certificate they still made me go put it in my name just to get our property! I realized why this money hungry company wanted it in my name... Because when it goes to collections they can't collect from a dead person but they can collect from me! Not to mention I won't be able to bid on a car in my name when it goes to Auction! I suggest using finish line towing because they towed my sons car 30 days after he died & because of DMV laws can't change a title until 40 days after they died I was able to get it out without registering it. The storage fees added up to 1,900 and they let me take it for $800 which I took from his funeral expenses. I still haven't had his celebration of life now this tow company is heartlessly taking the last piece of my son I had!! I have lost hope in all humanity. I pray that you find God in your life and heart before the end because where you are going is a very HOT place. I'm adding to this review because the next day I came for my property & brought my sister because seeing my sons car was making me relive that night. My anxiety was so high I was throwing up over and over. Rosa still made me go back there to get the property even after calling the police and refused to give me a copy of the paperwork with all the info on it that was mailed out to my son. I don't have access to this mail. Now the car is in my name I should get a copy. If when the owner finds out about this situation and makes it right and I'm able to leave with my dead sons car I will leave a new review. Try to put yourself in my shoes.

Thank goodness I read the reviews before I had them tow my car. This has to be some of the worst reviews I've ever seen for a tow company especially with that last girl with her son dying and all them not even giving her a little bit of slack that just really broke my heart. I don't know why people have to already kick somebody when they're down. They could have shown a little bit of respect to the girl.
