If I could give GH Auto repair 0 stars, I would. Harold (The owner and sole employee) was grossly negligent when repairing an exhaust leak with my vehicle. My car was leaking exhaust into the cabin, which I first noticed on November 12th, 2023. I had my car taken to GH Auto Repair the next day to have him diagnose what was wrong with the exhaust system. He said the muffler needed to be replaced and that was the only problem that needed fixed. When speaking with him on the phone, I asked if he was absolutely sure that I shouldn’t just play it safe and replace the whole exhaust system, since having a carbon monoxide leak coming into the car is such a serious issue. He told me that would be overkill and a waste of money. After he completed his work on my car, I decided to buy one of the highest rated Car Carbon Monoxide detectors I could find. This was to give me confidence and make sure the exhaust system was working perfectly, and that there was no more CO leaking into my car. Immediately after I got my car back from Harold, the CO detector was beeping red and going off, which understandably gave me anxiety. I did extensive testing with my car parked in my driveway, with the car-recirculation air button on and off, and the detector kept beeping red. I did these tests in my own driveway to make sure I wasn’t near any cars emitting exhaust. I called Harold and told him that I bought this highly rated car CO detector and that it was beeping red and going off. I explained the thoroughness of my tests to him, but he discounted me with a condescending attitude by saying “I’ve never heard of anyone using a CO detector in a car” and “How do you even know that thing works?” and “I breathe in Carbon Monoxide all the time at my job”, as if that’s a normal thing I should get used to. He asked me to come back so he could try to fix anything that he missed, but by that point all my confidence in him had been lost. I decided it was time to get opinions from two other mechanic shops. Both places found three completely obvious leaks that they were able to find just by putting the car in the air. It didn’t take any advanced methods to find these leaks. They each found a leak in the flex pipe, and two leaks coming from the exhaust manifold / catalytic converter underneath the exhaust manifold heat shield. Both places expressed how easy these leaks were to find and diagnose, which only further emphasized to me how lazy and negligent a job Harold did on my car. I decided to go with the second mechanic shop, and they did an amazing job fixing the leaks Harold missed, and I haven’t had any issues since. I called Harold in January after some time had passed to give me some distance from the whole situation. I let him know someone else fixed the remaining leaks and gave him an opportunity to apologize. He refused to apologize and take accountability for his mistakes. He kept escalating his tone and continually talked down to me. I asked him for a refund for the work that he did because he had promised me he accurately diagnosed and fixed the exhaust problem in totality, when he clearly did not. Then after everything he put me through, he insulted me by offering a 15% refund. I strongly considered taking him to small claims court, but I decided that I just want to move on with my life, and that it’s a better use of my time to write this review so I can help other people avoid making the mistake of using this mechanic. Instead of being thankful I was proactive in buying a CO detector and potentially saving him a lawsuit if the CO leaks caused me or my family health issues or caused me to pass out and get in an accident, he handled the situation in an unacceptable manner. I paid him for a service that he did not thoroughly complete, sent me back on the road in an unsafe vehicle, and failed to take accountability. Avoid at all costs.

I recently had some work done by Harold at GH Auto Repair. Harold is truly a genuine person, and you can tell he cares about his customers. His high level of knowledge of automotive repair is clear just by talking to him about the project at hand. He was professional and courteous throughout the entire process, and gave very good advice for my project even though I was finishing the majority of the work on my own. Overall I am beyond satisfied with the experience. Harold will be my go to for automotive repair services in the future.

Many times I feel like one of thee best benefits from my marriage is getting to have GH Auto repair as my new lifetime mechanic! Lol! There's really not enough good things to say about Harold and his quality of work. He fixed my brakes and suspension on a 2006 Nissan Murano, it felt new again! He also replaced the alternator in that vehicle, noticed a couple belts were worn and fixed them at no cost (mind you I'd used Harold for 3 yrs). If I had to pick my number 1 most liked aspect of Harold at GH Auto repair it's his honesty. In my opinion Harold is the most knowledgeable mechanic I've ever met and this attribute shows through his ability to find problems and fix them. Now let me be honest as well, his prices may be a bit higher than some of his competitors (uses correct parts). But as is always the case, you get what you pay for! Plus I've never had to go back because something wasn't right after repairs. And I've saved more money since using Harold because if it doesn't need fixed, he won't "fix" it and charge you for unnecessary work! Did I mention he was honest?😏 I've referred numerous coworkers who praise and thank ME for telling them about GH AUTO REPAIR. Glen is awesome and his commitment to honesty is a true as written. I came here last minute around 4:30 pm during a cross country road trip. I was concerned about my ac unit not blowing cold enough. Glen was completely transparent that I didn’t need to do any work on my unit but could if I chose. It’s just hot and humid in Nebraska! I went for it anyway and he went above and beyond. He checked my oil level, educated me about my break pads and my timing belt, and cleaned my condenser. He told me the price upfront and was pretty close to his quote once all was said and done. Come here and you won’t be disappointed!

Just had my vehicle repaired by Harold and he did a great job at a fair price. He was able to get my car in the next day after I called him and got the repair done in a day. He went the extra mile to make sure I was happy with his service.
