The service department is extremely disorganized and unprofessional. The platform they use to make appointments online is unreliable and unstable. The call center lacks communication. The service manager Pete Mitchell is not receptive to the clients concerns responding with sarcasm and lacking any empathy for the inconveniences the service department creates because of poor management. The technicians are careless and when they damage the cars they lack honesty and responsibility to inform the clients and resolve the issues. I have a X5 and 530i which have been serviced at Huntington Habberstad and each time my experience has been very disappointing and frustrating. When the X5 was brought in for routine service and inspection the technician punctured the cover of the A pillar. The car at the time was one year old. Neither the technician nor the manager volunteered to inform me of the damages and offer to fix it. Only after contacting my sales advisor and dealership ownership and several trips was I able to get the part replaced. On a different occasion, I had to bring an almost brand new 530i to have a defective rear sunscreen replaced. This again was not a simple trip because of lack of communication between the parts and service departments. And today was another disappointing and frustrating day! I had contacted Habberstad in advance to secure a loaner for the 530i to be serviced , inspected and for a recall to be addressed. The loaner was confirmed by the service department and by phone. As planned, I arrived today at the dealership. After a 30 minute wait, the service manager himself Pete Mitchell came to help me. After personally driving to Habberstad and waiting half an hour he then informed me that they did not have any loaner available! When asked for other options he suggested going to a car rental company. And when I tried to share my frustration with him and his department he did not hesitate to basically direct me out while sarcastically making a comment about not wasting my time any more. My final option was to leave without any work done, frustrated after wasting an hour. My recommendation is to avoid Huntington Habberstad BMW mostly because of my experience with the service department. Buying or leasing a car overall involves less interaction with the dealership. Once a car is purchased or leased it is the service department that one mostly deals with. I strongly advise that you consider this before choosing Habberstad.

This service department always disappoints. Wait times are terrible - this last trip, I was waiting over an hour just to drop my car off and another 45 mins to pick it up. They have a dozen advisors, most just clicking away on their computers with no customers while you sit and wait. Service manager was sitting on what was clearly personal calls the entire time I was waiting. Kept the car for 2 full days to do an oil change and I had to call at 4pm the second day to get an update. Why is it like this?

I had an oil, oil filter and engine air filter change a few months ago. After that, my car was turning on the engine light when weather was cold. I couldn't figure out what the problem was. I thought there was a problem with the heat sensor. because the error code was showing this. I changed the timing chain of my car in a different service about 3 weeks ago. And I saw that the air intake pipe between the engine and the engine air filter is not stuck and not fit. straight air was entering the engine. it could have broken my engine. The engine light was turning on because cold air entered the engine without filtering . I noticed the problem and now my engine light is not on, it has been fixed. i am complaining about this problem. I have pictures

Completely beyond the pale how terrible the customer service is here. Even if you have an active BMW warranty, they will simply NOT honor it - even when you read them what it says word for word, and they agree with you what it says, they come up with outlandish reasons that your coverage does not apply. They say they value your loyalty, but will offer you none in return.

The customer service is severely lacking in the service department. Pete specifically engaged in unethical practices by telling me they fixed my maltrain malfunction/check engine light issue only to learn that after I picked up the vehicle that the computer was never reset. When I brought the car back not only did they charge me for an additional diagnostic for an issue they already diagnosed but tried to charge me for labor to reset the computer. I’ve had my vehicle serviced at HB for four years but due to Pete’s shadiness I will not be returning nor will I ever purchase a bmw from Habberstad.
