Honda of Stamford Service Department

I am thoroughly impressed with this dealership. Their customer service is excellent, and their service department is immaculate. I have never seen such a large and well-organized service area. The entire process is streamlined: you pull up, they intake your car, and then you check in at the service area, which includes a waiting area. I appreciated their transparency about the extended time needed for my car's service. They offered me a shuttle service to get home, which saved me the expense of an Uber. I made sure to tip the driver for their service.

I was suggested to replace the valve gasket cover (leaking). Waterpimp was leaking. I went to my mechanic to have it taken care of. I received a call in 15 minutes after I dropped the car off and was told what leaks are you talking about? Nothing is leaking. Everything is perfectly fine. Nothing to be replaced. So why is Honda telling me that I have to replace something that I didn't need to replace?

Brought in car, and while they did fix it, they took the remote for my interior LED lighting system out of the car and lost it. Good repairs but you have to take absolutely everything out of your car or things may go missing.

Brought my 2019 Honda Pilot in for an A1 service and to fix the safety tech - lane keeping, adaptive cruise control and others. I was told I needed a transmission service at $199, new brake and differential fluid, and a new radar sub-assembly. Replacing the sub-assembly was quoted at $1200 and I had to pre-pay $700 for the part. I dropped the car off a few days later. The service rep called an hour later to say the transmission service was not $199 - it was $499 because I have a 9-speed transmission. They knew what kind of car I had. He also said the radar sub-assembly was fine but I needed a new forward camera at $1500 not $1200. I had to do the transmission service but I refused to do the camera. The dealer refused to give me a refund on the $700 part back to my card. Instead he offered to send me a check. Basically, 2 bait and switches on service, no apologies, no attempt to make this right, and my car still has no safety tech. And even if not an intentional bait and switch, I would not trust this service department because they lack attention to detail and do not know how to interpret Honda's diagnostic codes.

Came in for low tire pressure and a leak. Waited over an hour for them to tell me that there was nothing wrong with the tires and sent me home. 24 hours later… tire pressure low again. Went back to this Honda and after waiting another hour they found a screw in the tire. When I questioned why it was not found the first time they said “It was a mistake. Everyone makes mistakes.“ Spent over two hours to get a new tire. What a waste of time.
