I had a great experience working with Klaus at Import Auto. I was on a cross country road trip and had two days in Laramie. My jetta was having some issues and Klaus took my car in for immediate repair so I could get back on the road. Klaus is honest and will not try and pressure you into making a decision or repairing something that isn't necessary. The quote for the repair was very reasonable, but the amount due came back significantly less. Klaus would definitely have my business if I lived in the area. If you are passing through or live in Laramie, please consider Klaus.

Klaus and his two workers absolutely saved the day and turned what could have been a complete trainwreck of a weekend into a mere pitstop. Our car broke down about a half mile from his shop and we walked forlornly down the road to an unknown mechanic (Klaus), hoping for the best but not knowing what to expect. Klaus gave us a ride back to our car to diagnose the problem, then had his workers tow the car back to his shop. He correctly deduced the problem, produced the exact part we needed within minutes, and had us completely fixed up and ready to go in a few hours, with plenty of time left for us to get to our final destination. Highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for good, honest work!

The best experience I've ever had with a mechanic. Fixing cars always costs money, but Klaus and his crew are honest, knowledgable, and busy enough that they don't need to find extra stuff to fix. After another local shop tried to convince me to replace my motor, Klaus recommended starting small rather than a complete over haul. In the end, he walked us through all the steps they did to diagnose the problems, how they fixed them, and what I might need to think about going forward. They stayed within my pre-determined price limit, and ended up doing a few other things they noticed needing little adjustments without charge. If you have an import, do yourself a favor and go see Klaus!

En route to Salt Lake City when our Audi broke down and had to be towed back to Laramie. Klaus took it in without an appointment and had a thorough diagnosis in a couple hours. Great, honest service and very knowledgeable! Highly recommended.

Klaus is excellent. There's no pressure to do additional work that doesn't need to be done today, but he is realistic about what needs to be done now, and he lets you know about future issues he expects with your car. He charges fairly, even showing me the VW recommended prices at times, and charging me less when the work takes less time than he is allotted from VW. He is VW trained, does excellent work, and has good workers that work for him. I have multiple years of going to Klaus with zero complaints. I refuse to go elsewhere in Laramie.
