Waldir work mainly on Lotus. However he is knowable in other sport cars. His price is reasonable. He did a ton of work on my 05 Elise. From new suspension to supercharger. I was very happy. Now he is working on the clam hinge.

Quality work, which is VERY hard to find these days. Waldir does fantastic work, he took care of my mess of an engine on a 7. Went out of his way to get the work done, noticed some other concern items and pricing was great. Small shop, and its just him, so be prepared to wait a little, but its worth the wait- my engine pulls like a freight train. I'll be back next year with some more work.

Waldir is really just the best mechanic ever. He takes such good care of my Lotus. I know that every year, no matter how hard I beat on it, it'll be back to showroom condition. Not only that, but it's such a pleasure to deal with him, because he explains every little nuance about your car, will happily talk for hours about the car, and really wants you to enjoy the ownership experience.

Waldir had my Lotus for a couple of YEARS and was unable in that time to correctly diagnose and repair an issue that took the dealership in Huntington a few hours to resolve. There’s a reputable shop in NJ that refuses to take cars that Waldir has worked on because they come in with so many hard to diagnose issues he has created. He left multiple bolts and fasteners loose. My mirror was damaged at his shop and he refused to take responsibility for the damage. He lost multiple parts that belong to me, as well as my battery tender that he never used, resulting in two ruined Odyssey batteries. He charged $2,000 for a wire harness that was not installed.

I am a huge auto enthusiast that has an unhealthy obsession with my cars (ie. I don't let people chew gum in my car). I have been taking my cars to Waldir at Intermechanica for over 10 years and can honestly say he's the best mechanic you will ever find. He is not only the nicest and most genuine person you have ever met (I get calls from him on Thanksgiving and Christmas as well as my birthday just to say hi), but he is incredible at what he does. There is no wonder why guys like me who like to race bring our cars here, because he knows how to build an engine from the ground up. But he's not just for race cars - he has worked on my friends commuter cars with the same grace as someone who brings in a Ferrari. He is also very reasonable with his rates and will be the first to tell you if your car doesn't need a service or a part. He truly is the rarest breed of mechanic that is honest. Above anything else, I can say I'm most happy to know I can call him a friend.
