I have been dealing with Ray for over 20 years now. As a woman, it is hard to go to a mechanic without feeling like you're getting ripped off. I have never felt that with Ray nor have I ever had problems with anything he has fixed. He explains everything thoroughly to me and does not dumb things down because I am a woman. Anyone I have ever recommended go to him has never have a bad thing to say either. He helps making car ownership less scary for me! I highly recommend this establishment!

I paid almost $1200 for incomplete repairs, went back a week later to learn something was missed and paid more for issues still unresolved.

TOTAL RIP-OFF! Don’t visit! $600-700 for a pressure line hose and wanted to charge me 3 hours of work for a 45min job. Crazyyy Update: I was very direct & specific on what I needed & was not rude. So “NO” I won’t remove my comment after you called me back to try and threaten me to takedown my honest review.

I brought this car to JB Auto for an inspection, brake work, and to replace my smart junction fuse box for one of my headlights not working. I informed the owner that I took it to two mechanics for the fuse box issue, one of the mechanics being a shop that Ray recommended to me in the past also on Yonkers Ave. Ray was informed that the issue was the fuse box but did not trust in me the customer or the previously recommended mechanic. Ray decided to retrace the issue himself which he said he had to take off the bumper to do. As mentioned earlier all this work had been done already. Ray re-did the work only to find out that the issue was in fact the fuse box. Problem is he decides to charge me $500 to check it again. If it was a different issue other than the issue I originally stated I would understand but Ray the owner came to the same problem/fix, the smart junction fuse box. Now here is the kicker... I called the shop after 4 days and Ray the owner said the car was ready. When I picked it up everything in the car was rest including the TPMS having a fault error. Now wait for it... Ray the owner says that is how I brought it in with a TPMS fault. I was infuriated! He changed the main fuse box and doesn't even know that he has to program the TPMS sensors back??? I have since gone to a tire shop and paid more money to fix this new problem but rather give my money to someone who is honest and not an opportunist!

The owner is always thorough and fair with the pricing. they always get the job done well with no excuses and in a timely fashion. been going there for almost a decade. No more overpriced dealerships for me

Ray has been my mechanic for years and I always appreciate his honesty. He’s very thorough and has kept my car safe and in elite condition over the years. We’ve all shopped around for mechanics and although others might offer the job for a bit cheaper, the quality of the work isn’t worth being cheap. Especially when it comes to my families safety. I noticed a negative review on here mentioned they were charged to have their car diagnosed. LOL can you imagine going to a Doctor for a second opinion and demanding treatment for something before they have diagnosed or assessed themselves. Anyways, I’d highly recommend Ray and supporting small businesses.

Great service! I’ve been coming here for years from simple tasks like inspections to more complicated matters like transmission fixes. The owner always gives me the facts and works with me to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner.
