**DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY!** In September 2024, I purchased a J35A8 replacement engine for my 2008 Acura TL Type S. Initially, the engine performed well for about four months. However, after some normal wear and tear, I began to notice smoke and a ticking noise. As the engine is a Honda motor and I am a certified mechanic, I initially assumed that the valves were simply out of adjustment and would need to be recalibrated—no big deal, or so I thought. When I removed the valve cover, I was extremely disappointed by what I found. Although the exterior of the engine appeared clean, the internal components were in poor condition. I had been told that my engine was a low-mileage unit shipped directly from Japan for resale in the U.S. However, I now suspect this engine may have been a junkyard pull, as the internal condition does not match the claims made by the seller. I attempted to contact JDM New York multiple times to resolve this issue. When I finally reached someone, the representative was unhelpful and dismissive, stating that the "warranty guy wasn’t in today" and that I would receive a follow-up call the next morning. It has now been three weeks, and I have yet to hear back from the company. I am extremely frustrated with both the product and the customer service, and until this matter is addressed, I will keep this review posted. Attached are photos of the condition of my engine’s valves. UPDATE: The company got ahold of me and after trying to hash out a deal they offered me a measly $350 in compensation for an engine i payed $2000 for! They sold me a junk engine and now i am forced to sell my vehicle!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THESE GUYS!!

Don’t buy through this company unless you want sold junk yard motors with metal in oil pan and leaking head gaskets and so on. The motor I pulled out of car was better condition than there motor. The motor I purchased wasn’t the motor that I recieved . These pictures are the motor I received from them . The motor I purchased is on yellow crate and had a white oil filter motor recieved was a blue smashed filter and smashed oil pan with bent pick up tube. Metal shavings all over in the motor , head gaskets leaking , valve stem seals leaking oil but a good motor they say. If you read this and buy from them I feel bad for you and the funny thing is I purchased the motor from them and the same motor is posted for sale online so basically using a great motor picture to recieve junk . The motor has heat tabs all over it from a junk yard as well . The head gasket is leaking antifreeze on the corner down the motor on the mount picture shows it and they put a board under it to catch all of the oil it was leaking especially out of the heads . They offered to refund me money to fix motor then ghosted me and blocked me until I had to open a case through credit card company and sending all paper work this week . UPDATE ! I gave them a chance to make it right and we came up with a number to repair the motor they sent me and they were supposed to refund money and the money was for rebuilding the heads , new head gaskets , valve cover gaskets , rod bearings , polish the crank and I know them well so me as a great mechanic and feeling stuck because I sourced motor out for client I am doing the extra work for free one happy client so they agreed on the work and I took motor apart took heads in shop , crank in shop and ordered parts so I asked where is the partial refund asked for over a week getting ignored with there automated system they said and they then ask me to send motor back I was like what I need the partial refund and told them motor is apart in shop needing to pay for the items so ya then I get a slap on the face he opened a case on me and I had 3 days to send the motor back in the original way it came and sent a shipping label I was like ahh that’s not what was agreed so long story short I couldn’t send back because heads in shop crank in shop stack of parts and eBay closed case lost our money and in the end of it all price of motor went up 2 times in price customer paid over 5800 in the end of the job. I offered customer $1500 refund and the guy said nope it wasn’t your fault and refused to let me get screwed especially when it’s not my fault . READ the reviews people ! Don’t be the next person to get taken advantage of this is a 50/50 engine store and if you lucky you might get a good one . If you read this go to reviews of the motor’s sold they use same picture for all engines so you will not get the one in picture and you will see the bad motors and make sure you check they have a few different accounts on here . I hope I can save a lot of people from the headache. There is a text with them saying I was gonna be refunded but never did .

The engine they sent me was burning 1qt of oil per 100 miles, had coolant passages full of rusted gunk, and had 12 of 16 valve stems leaking. I ended up having to do a full tear down to clean it and replace the piston rings, valve stems, and more. Don't buy your engine here.

Great place to pickup an excellent quality JDM engine. I ordered my k24a, and it was at my shop 2 day later, faster than Amazon! Opened it up and the engine was very clean. Super happy with my purchase my my choice to use JDM New York!
