Joe & Sons Transmissions

Do NOT bother going there. They do NOT care about prospective customers. Called and talked to Cynthia, asked for a price of a rebuild or possibly a remanufactured transmission for my car, she asked for my VIN number saying she'd call me back. 2 days later, no call. So I caller her back, she said she was still working on it and would call me back. 2 full days to get pricing? Ridiculous! It's been days now since I called and she never called me back. This is NO way to treat a potential customer. It tells me everything I need to know about what kind of people they are. So glad I didn't take my car there! ** My response to Owner's reply: I did not need a diagnostic fee, since I had already had that done. NOT true that I was "frustrated" about that. I simply told them that. I was then told I needed to pay $600 for them to tear my transmission down and then give me an estimate. Which is absurd. IF you rebuild transmissions for a living, you should be able to give the customer a "ballpark" estimate, meaning from "as low as to as high as" numbers. Other shops do that. I did NOT "demand" anything, I simply told them that. That's when I asked for a total replacement cost, and Cynthia said she'd give me the price for that. And never did. So they make decisions on which customers to work with based on a couple of phone calls? Wow... you don't know me enough to judge and make that premature, uncalled for decision. Again, glad I didn't go there! You've been warned!

I am new to the area and I needed an oil change. Such a difficult task when you have no idea where to start. Well, duh, Google. I search oil change and the fast lube places show up. Nothing against them but I’d rather not. I see Joe & Sons Transmissions and it’s close to my work. I call and ask if they offer oil changes. The person on the phone said yes but they are a bit busy. I explained that I work in walking distance and was looking to have it done today. She was super nice about it and said I could bring it over at 12. Let me first tell you that this repair shop is in a plaza with a few other shops so don’t be alarmed. Once I arrived, I was greeted by Cynthia who I had spoken with on the phone. She gave me a price, asked for my keys to get my vehicle info, told me it would be about 30min or so. I opted to leave and she would let me know when it’s done. In no time did I hear back from Cynthia that my car was ready. Let me tell you, this was fast, friendly service that made you feel comfortable oh, and affordable too. Hopefully my car doesn’t need anything else but if it does, I’m going to Joe & Sons. Thanks Cynthia!

I received fast, professional service. I had found a cheap new replacement transmission online and they helped me confirm that it was the correct one and were willing to accept shipment of it.

These guys are great, and the price won't break the bank. I had my transmission rebuilt by Joe & Sons, and they did it much cheaper than the two "big name" places in town.
