Took car in to have a minor repair. Difficult to get in contact with owner once the car was dropped off. He kept it longer than he originally stated with no reason other than "oh I thought you didn't need it for another week". Car was returned with 50+ miles put on it and smelling like cigarettes. Asked owner about the milage and he stated he had to make sure it was running well. Called several auto places to ask how many miles I should expect on my car after a fix and they all told me nothing over 5-10 miles. Read the reviews people, if someone has this many 1 stars reviews they are the problem.

When I was desperate for help, Steve went above and beyond helping me out. He took my car in THE SAME DAY I CALLED, and he started working on it THE SAME WEEK. It was finished months faster than quoted from everywhere else. In this market, that is more than incredible. He stayed working after hours on my car, priced me below his quoted estimate, and continually gave me updates on the cars progress. I realized my parking sensor wasn't working after he had worked on my car, so he brought it back and fixed it on the spot for me for free. KDS will continue to be my primary auto workshop for many years to come. The level of expertise and honest pricing makes everything more than worth it. I would wholeheartedly recommend Steve and KDS Automotive to anyone looking for a new mechanic.

Kept my car for 6 months total for a small repair. Offered me a car to use in the meantime that was obviously someone else’s currently used car (had car seats in back). Kept coming back and was told that there were new problems. Left marijuana rolling papers in my front seat and put lots of miles on my car. I had a full tank when I dropped it off, and when I got it back it was empty.

WARNING - Terrible experience. First, Steve, the owner, asked for $750 for parts upfront. I agreed and he charged $1,700. When confronted, he said he would refund it but never did. My work was to be completed in 2 weeks but took 7 months. Heard every excuse from his health problems, staff issues, wrong parts delivered, house burned down and his mother passing away. I actually felt for the guy until I picked up my car, drove it less than 2 blocks and returned to tell him it wasn’t fixed. He became irate, insulted me and told me he wasn’t scared of me and would not provide me with any final paperwork. He smelled like liquor and my car smelled like cigarettes. The worst part is I actually felt sorry for the guy along the way- but it was me he was playing the entire time. Read the other reviews- I wish I would have before this mess. Now, after 7 months, I will be towing it to another mechanic. Don’t repeat my mistakes.

My experience at KDS was the worst that I have ever experienced. I have a 1986 Buick Grand National. I took it there because I would always see older and foreign vehicles parked there. I was under the assumption that they would be able to work on my vehicle. I met Steve in October of 2020 and he assured that he would be able to fix my brake issue. I dropped my vehicle off and Steve called to get a payment method. I was unaware that Steve would take the whole amount off my card before the work even started. My car was at KDS from October to until January. I was told every excuse in the book from delivery running late because of covid to they sent the wrong part to I don't have the staff because of covid etc. Not to mention that Steve also told me that my vehicle would be parked inside out of the elements. I work not to far from the shop so I had to drive by at night and in the morning. 80 percent of the time my vehicle was parked outside. When I asked if my vehicle was kept inside, he replied yes. I told Steve that I wanted my vehicle back and a refund. I wasn't able to get a total refund back and what I did get back, took over a month. I went back up there several times over a month and Steve would attempt a refund that was always unsuccessful until I got my credit card company involved. I took my vehicle to another shop that was able to fix it within two days. Steve was never nasty towards me but he definitely was not honest and the lack of service was not professional at all.
