Knapp's Madison Auto and Towing

Short review: Outstanding! Highly recommend! Keith and Parker were the two I most associated with as I know others were helping. They were completely transparent, open and honest. If I could give 100 stars I would. The story: I was driving a Chevy G3500 from Iowa in Cleveland to pick up furniture as well as attend a funeral. I was thinking to myself how wonderfully everything was with the drive in, seeing friends, picking up my furniture and all that I had next was the funeral (Tue night) and drive home (Wed morn 12 hrs) before the ice storm hits. That is when the serpentine belt came off and I was able to pull into a parking lot as the engine idled down. I googled mechanics close by and called Knapp’s. Keith was my first contact and said it may be 60-90 minutes to tow which is what it was. Keith took care in loading the truck even checking if I had everything strapped in side, which I had not well enough with the incline of pulling onto his truck bed. He was patient while I did so. Since I was driving our farm truck, I called our farm mechanic and everything he said matched everything I was hearing from Knapp’s. I had friends in Lakewood, so Keith was kind enough to drop me off at their house. Parker, again fully transparent, said they would do their best with the jobs they already had and fitting me in. They had it fixed by 10:30 AM the next day, it drove beautifully and safely and I am writing this from the conference hotel in Lexington. HUGE thank you to everyone at Knapp’s !

They’re mechanics and there are automotive wizards. This shop only has wizards. They took my 39 year old jeep and made it stronger and more reliable than it was from the factory. The work was so perfect that I drove it 703 miles round trip to the silver sand dunes in Michigan 4x4 all day and drove it back with zero challenges. I’ve taken my vehicles over the years to many auto repair shops but I finally found one I fully trust with all my cars. The prices are perfect and the staff is amazing. This is the shop.

This is what old school service with new school smarts looks like. The team at Knapp's quickly fixed my car at a very fair price and were the most welcoming group of people (and dog!) Not being familiar with cars, it can be intimidating to trust that you are being dealt with honestly and fairly. This second gen auto shop explained the repair, offered a good warranty and provided the kind of service culture you hope for.

My wife had a headlight out on the front of her SUV that we were unable to replace ourselves. When she took the car in, Knapps didn't hesitate to make the time to help us out! We have taken our cars there for years and will be back!

10/10 Recommend. I’ve been going here for about 3-4 years. They’ve always done a great, honest job getting my car back up and running again in a timely, cost-effective way. I’ve never felt pressured to do anything that’s not necessary. I recently moved a few towns away, and I still drove over to Knapp’s when I had a problem because I trust their opinion and work!
