L & M Automotive Service Center

I came here for a routine smog check, and was in and out within 15 minutes (also the pricing was the best in the area). The waiting room was pleasant, and has wifi and magazines to help pass the time if you're getting a longer service done. What really set L&M Automotive apart is that I was greeted by the owner, who was very warm and welcoming (even offering coffee to start the day). 10/10 🌟 for value, quality of service, and customer service. I'll definitely be back for all my auto servicing needs!

I first took my Ford Expedition about 3-years ago to L&M after observing the satisfaction my son experienced on having an fixed on his car. L&M is now my permanent repair facility based on their excellent service and repair work, their guarantee of satisfaction by standing behind their work, their clean shop and transparency/truthfulness in their communication, and their personal, family way of doing business. Brian is a top notch Operations Manager who follows Charlie's (the owner) philosophy of caring for and respecting customers and employees. Needless to say, L&M is my, and my family's, go to place for maintaining our vehicles.

Great experience bringing in our Smart car for regular maintenance check. No hassle, easy in and out without any type of upselling or sense of mistrust on our end on whether they knew what they were doing or trying to sell us anything further. Grateful to have found these folks and intend to bring all of our cars to them now.

Brian and Haili was amazing in helping me have my car checked and analyzed. Had the fuel system cleaned, oil change amongst other repairs and preventative work. Truly recommend L&M Automotive.

I regret to say that my experience with L&M has been extremely disappointing. Over the past six months, I've spent nearly $4,000 attempting to resolve P0171 and P0174 error codes, yet the issue persists. The lack of communication has been a major source of frustration, particularly with Brian, the technician handling my car. During the initial three-week repair period, I only received three updates, despite repeated attempts to get information. Each call yielded the same response: another part needed replacement. Out of six recommended parts, I believe only one was truly necessary. Unfortunately, this approach has not resolved the problem. Recently, when the issue reoccurred, I returned to L&M under the 12-month warranty. I also requested a transmission service while the car was there. Once again, communication was lacking, with no updates until I called multiple times. When I finally picked up the car, I was shocked by an unexpected $746 bill for unauthorized parts and a diagnostic fee. After raising the issue, the charges were removed, and I only paid for the transmission service. This experience has eroded my trust in L&M. I will not be returning and plan to take my car to a Ford dealership for further resolution. I would advise others to think carefully before using this shop, as my experience has been nothing but stressful and costly. L&M will be covering the dealer cost and/or returning my money. I do plan on pursuing the matter legally and contacting the BAR in regard to their shady practices. UPDATE: They are trying to blame me for a part they is in fact BAR and CARB compliant. So I replied with the following: And yet, they still smogged my car. I want them to provide proof that the catch can is not CAL BAR compliant. I have done my research, and the catch can is both BAR and CARB certified. In fact, it is considered a standard component for some direct injection turbocharged cars. Moreover, I've had this part installed since 2014, and no smog station has ever raised an issue about it. It seems to me that you're grasping at straws. Answer me this: if you were so confident that the catch can was the problem, why did you replace $4,000 worth of parts and update the ECU? Your actions indicate you have no idea what you're doing. I also proved you wrong by driving my car to Vegas with the original part reinstalled, and the P0141 lean light came back on. The car is now going to a Ford dealership for a full diagnostic (the bill for which I will be sending to you). They will determine the root cause of the issue your company was unable to resolve and verify whether the parts you replaced were actually faulty, as I still have all the original components for comparison. You have a lot of nerve to think I would bring my car back to you. You're not "mechanics"; you're "part chasers" with no diagnostic skills, based on what I experienced. You will never see my car again, nor will you see any other vehicle I own or those of anyone I know. Additionally, I have reported your practices to the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR). Once I receive the findings from a reputable repair facility, I will proceed to file a lawsuit against Brian and L&M for the undue stress and financial losses you have caused.
