Lube Alley - Bozeman

I have been coming here for 9 years, with 3 different vehicles. And I have never had a problem. They are fast, reliable and reasonably priced. I had the MB dealer in Billings mess up 2 different vehicles, months apart, by leaving the cap off after an oil change. I’m grateful that Lube Alley is a professional shop.

First thing I am a technician and have been for over 30 years worked for Cadillac for over 10 years owned my own shop for over 15 years and the reason I am telling you this is because of the terrible service I got getting the oil changed and wiper blades changed my daughter goes to school there we are from Vegas so had to trust in a shop and was kinda looking for a normal place for her to go, the first thing when approaching the car there was never a hi how are you nothing I expressed that I would like a oil change I was asked what oil I would like blend or synthetic I said I would like blend well I guess the car calls for only synthetic oil, I was not consulted on this the synthetic oil was installed, 2nd we asked for wiper blades to be changed again I was not consulted on how much this all was going to cost and the wiper blades were extremely higher then normal and it was told to me after it was all done no hey just so you know these wiper blades are $40 each that’s more then double normal wiper blades according to the man that checked me out again no est no consulting of changing my oil to synthetic even if the manufacturer recommends synthetic it’s still my choice and I would of been fine with synthetic just the point of no communication at all till it was time to pay oil change and wiper blades then the car smoked for the rest of the day I opened the hood found oil all over still on cover battery and this is a brand new car so nobody had spilled any oil on this car I ran it and made sure that it was ok. No if this was my daughter she would of lost her mind and prob would of called me if I was not there and I would of had it towed to the dealer it was bad. I cleaned it all up and had to spend 20 min just making it back how it was before we took it into your shop. I am very disappointed and it cost $182. And the money not the issue again 30 years in the business. And my car was a 2024 Subaru Outback first oil change by the way. So I was very disappointed and will not be going back. Bring in the business my whole life I am sure I have a good sense of normal and professional service Thanks

This place is top notch in my book. The guys were ALL friendly, polite, professional and clean... Lol at least as far as mechanics go. They didn't treat me like I was dumb only respectful and even with all the snow the waiting area was warm and clean and the service was very thorough and done quickly!!! No B. S . or scams straight up fair will definitely recommend it to everyone I meet

The girl at the service counter, acknowledged me pleasantly right away. Once we had a chance to share vehicle information, she made a recommendation that will help me with future maintenance, and I appreciate that. The technician brought my air filter to show me. It’s poor condition, but even though he didn’t have a replacement in stock, he suggested an alternate source. It was a good experience, and they should be commended.

The staff was incredibly friendly. I had my car in and out incredibly fast. They handled my oil change with care and they have a veterans discount! I will definitely be using Lube alley for all of my future oil changes!!

Such a friendly and efficient shop. They seem to actually care about the job they do and that you're happy with the service. Unusually fast, too. Has the personal feel of an independent store not the frenzy of a chain.
