Jaime was my third mechanic to get things done properly on my wiring. He’s the only one that got it right! He was very methodical and found a number of other problems that he corrected. At one point he had to get creative for the solution and took a break and came back 10 minutes later with the solution. He was on time, pleasant to work with, authentic, and forthright. Can highly recommend and will be back.

Can't thank Jamie enough! We are traveling through Montana with two Malinois for a working dog training event and the Honda Element overheated. We were able to get the issue diagnosed in Townsend, but were sent along our way for lack of parts to actually fix the issue (both cooling fans busted). After a considerable amount of calling around in Bozeman, it seemed our only options to address the issue in days rather than weeks were the Honda Dealership or a questionable 24/7 listing. Last minute we decided to try calling around in Belgrade, and so glad we did! Jamie picked up the phone and was very knowledge and patient (I am both female and frantic, so super appreciate when those in male dominated professions treat me with respect). Jamie was able to take a look at the car that day en route, and within minutes was able to get one of the fans back up and running with a surgical tap, and source the parts we needed to arrive that afternoon. He is a family oriented guy so does not work weekends, but was willing to work late on a Friday to get us back on the road if we were in a pinch. All in all, he was highly professional and finished the job within the 3 hour time window he quoted us, and got us out the door (parts and labor) for 2/3's the cost of what the Honda dealership had quoted us in parts alone. Note that this is a smaller shop (which I appreciated) so we were able to feel good about all of the work being performed by him. The little things that stood out to me were: His shop is very clean and tidy (very apparent he takes pride in his work and attention to detail). He did not charge us for the quick fix, nor for the parts he ordered ahead of service (which we would have been happy to pay, but the fact that he waved us off with no payment up front builds trust). And the number one thing I judge people on ... he was cool with my dogs 🙂

My experience with Jamie was awesome! He made last summer complete for me! I bought a 2000 Ford Focus that would die on me every 10 miles. So little by little we fixed it up. Thanks to Jamie I put 5,000 miles on that car in about 4 1/2 months!!! And I sold it for twice as much as I bought it for right before I left town. Best prices in town and great service. Can’t beat it!!!

This shop is awesome. Jamie is truly a straight-shooter. Very reasonable shop rate. After our daughter, who lives in Bozeman, got an inflated estimate for a leaky water pump from another shop, I found Lyon Customs and arranged everything with via phone and text since I live in MN. Jamie kept me up to speed when the car showed some extra goofy stuff (bad prior repairs), and he always ended up dealing with those snafus faster than he thought. It took an extra dealer part and other sidetracks, and he still ended up being lower that the original estimate from that other place. As important as the great and timely work performed, he was frank, communicative, and respectful. The vehicle drop-off and pick-up was a breeze for our daughter, too. Highly recommend.

I first met Jamie Lyon at a company we both worked at. I knew from the first time we met he was special. His professionalism towards his job and production was amazing. We became good friends and co-workers. He was a great asset to the company and no challenge was too small or too high. He is very mechanically minded and his dad being an auto mechanic for many years taught him a lot. His dream one day was to go into business for himself with his wife and daughter. With the support of his family, they decided it was time to leave California and Belgrade, Montana is where they ended up. They bought a piece of property, big enough to build his shop which with his talent and ability to design; helped installation of pad – trenching, utility installation and finally construction of the shop. The community will benefit greatly to have his business there. By some of his reviews I can see that they were incredibly happy with his knowledge of the problem, his honesty and the fair cost of the job that was performed. They stated that they would come back and tell their family and friends to have their mechanical work done. Hope you will all support his family and business. Special Note: A few years ago, I purchased a 55 Studebaker. Jamie & I were building the car from ground up every nut and bolts and prefabbing and designing what was needed. Unfortunately, in November 2018 the car was having some fitting and body work done in a private shop in Paradise, CA when the Paradise Camp Fire Destroyed, most of the Town of Paradise, CA and 85+ people died. Amazing the shop partially burn down but my car survived but had a lot of damage done. The car presently is home and I have started working on it and some day hopefully it will go to his shop to be completed The Chevy V8 Motor you see on his business internet is what the motor looked like before the fire. It is a survivor!
