Mavis Discount Tire

I came today for an oil change and was greeted with friendliness and a smile. My car was taken in promptly and the wait wasn’t bad. I also ended up getting new tires, which I knew I needed and got a great price.

Feb 5 update: The left two tires are installed in a wrong rotation direction. I had to visit again and spend additional an hour and half to get them fixed. In addition to this, when I show up at the store, a front desk lady appear impatient and didn’t even bother to greet me unless I walk over. She looked at the tires and comments “the installation is correct. It’s JUST they place the rotation differently”. If I know nothing about the car I would have thought this is JUST a novel installation technique given her tone of speaking. I had to argue with her emphasizing a lot on the V shape so that eventually she admitted the direction is WRONG, although she also tried to argue that I didn’t mention the direction is wrong instead I said the installation is wrong, as if the wrong direction is not a kind of wrong installation. Why argue with a customer in the first place?? Another associate Matt helped me to go through the procedures smoothly afterwards. They should hire more professional staffs or at least well train those relative inexperienced staff and teach them do grow while staying humble even til they become real experts. This is my sincere advice. Ironically I had a great experience a week earlier without realizing the mistake. I inspected the direction on right side and assumed that they must noticed the V shape directions so I ignored the left side where they did wrong. Below is my original comment a week earlier: “It is one of the best tire change on earth if you purchase the tires on Amazon and schedule the tire replacement service at this Mavis. You get the best service and price at the same time. The winter tires from Amazon are soft with form grips. The mechanics there are meticulous, professional, funny, friendly, and kind. They didn’t rush any time changing my tires. One of the mechanics patiently tied a zip tie to help me secure the back truck as it doesn’t close with my old tires inside. Our friend Alex also helped me put the steering wheel cover on as a favor. Would definitely go there for service again if I have a chance!”

I called them before driving from Long Island. They told me it would only be 30 to remove my front two tires and replace them with new tires. I drove for 40min after speaking to Frank on the phone. When I got there they told me it’s closer to $70…. Absolute garbage location. They lied to get customers in the door then lie about final prices. Don’t waste your time on this shaddy business. Will never waste my time on this brand again.

Jonathan provided excellent customer service and expertise. The appointment was on time and they provided additional feedback on the state of things under the chassis in a pressure free manner. Really appreciated all there assistance. There tech Franky was also well mannered and took care of my car in a professional manner. Appreciate there assistance. Check them out people!!!
