Mead Automotive & RV Repair

A fantastic business.  When  my motorhome broke down near Blythe with a wrecked differential (which also damaged the rear axles) I thought such major problems would require a very expensive tow to a big city repair facility.  I had it towed to Mead automotive and am so glad I did.  Not only did Hamp and his crew complete these very major repairs right the first time they also took on several RV repairs, including sealing a leaking roof that had been unsuccessfully attempted by three other facilities in  the past year. On top of Hamp’s skills, Lorie went above and beyond dealing with supply chain issues to obtain the needed parts and also working tirelessly with the vehicle’s extended warranty company to obtain compensation.  They keep me well updated on the complex process of the vehicle repair and charged very fair prices.  Best of all the vehicle runs great, all repairs were done perfectly and the roof finally doesn’t leak! I can’t recommend Mead Automotive enough, I am so grateful for their help.

If angels exist, Hamp and his wife are the human form. They went above and beyond to fix our RV while traveling with twin infants and stranded. Nobody was able to even diagnose the problem anywhere in all of Blythe or surrounding areas. Hamp stayed late after 6pm to accept the tow arrival of our RV and fixed it in record time. He was finished repairing the next morning by 10am. Unbelievable customer service, amazing experience! Someone else would’ve charged 10x the amount I paid bc they knew our situation. He and his wife are the most honest people I’ve ever met. Such an amazing experience and we arrived home safely with no issues whatsoever. I don’t think a professional racing pit crew could’ve repaired any quicker. Thank you so much Hamp, will definitely stay in touch.

These great folks were friendly, fair, and efficient in a car emergency on my cross-country road trip. 1500 miles in, my VW's engine went pop, and I went to the most responsive auto-shop in Blythe. I'm so happy I found Mead's! The last 3000 miles were smooth sailing. If you want responsible, professional technicians rather than sales-people, go here!

First off, I would like to say thank you to the wonderful people who work here. I by no means had a time pressing issue with my vehicle like some of the others who have made reviews, but these individuals took it upon themselves to take care of my vehicle and perform work the right way. I have a C5 corvette that needed a complete transmission overhaul as the original transmission had died after 88,000 miles of abuse. Needless to say, finding someone in town to work on my baby was quite difficult as no one wanted to touch it (rear mounted transmission with torque tube). Chevy would not perform work because they wouldn't install a 3rd party transmission, they wanted to sell me one and then install it. Well, these fine people happily took my vehicle, and performed great work. They even replaced some other components for my clutch after seeing that my fluid wasn't looking that great. Overall, I am more than happy with these fine, honest people, and will gladly drop my car off again if I have any issues with it. The cost was straightforward, with labor being charged at an honest rate, and components being ordered straight from the Chevy Dealer, although I produced the new transmission, clutch, and flywheel. Very reputable placer, and my first choice there in Blythe. My daughter had a problem with the handling of her car when driving to LA from Phoenix, and while they were too busy to take her in so late in the afternoon, they referred me to another local business which discovered the problem, a tire that was coming apart. Mead Automotive was then kind enough to refer me to the best tire place in town. So, I did and would trust this place for sure.
