Merrick Jeep Chrysler Dodge Ram Service Center

A complete disappointment. Normally, I wouldn't have written a review, but now that I'm home, I feel compelled to do so because of the carelessness and mistakes I experienced, which now make me question the quality of their service. Why? My car has 91,445 miles, but they recorded it as 44,735 miles upon service entry. The real surprise, though, is that for my car with 91,445 miles, they listed the next oil change as 44,735 miles. They didn't even bother to write down the date. How could a car that had its oil changed at 91,445 miles have the next oil change at 44,735 miles? The general appearance of the service center resembles a regular mechanic’s shop rather than an authorized service center. I dropped off my car at 9:40 AM, and they told me there would be a 2-hour wait time. I said okay. I waited for their call until 1:00 PM, which was 3 hours and 20 minutes later, but they didn’t call. I had to call them myself to ask if the service was complete, and they said, "We were just about to call you; yes, it’s done" (what a coincidence). I guess if I hadn’t called, they wouldn’t have bothered. Leaving everything else aside, my car's oil and coolant were changed. No matter which private or authorized service center you go to, they usually wash your car before giving it back to you. But at this service center, they handed me back my car without washing it, which is very strange. A complete disappointment. I advise you to stay away.

Awful experience, and if I could give zero stars, I would. Getting anyone to answer the phone is nearly impossible, making scheduling or getting updates a nightmare. The staff is rude and dismissive, and despite booking my appointment a month in advance, they didn’t have the loaner I was promised—actually, they had no loaner at all. They kept my car for over a week and still didn’t fix the issue, offering vague excuses instead of real solutions. Worst of all, their customer service is nonexistent—no communication, no accountability, and no respect for customers’ time. I wouldn’t trust them with my vehicle again. Avoid this place if you value good service. For my other jeep, that's not a lease. I've stopped going there despite free oil changes because even free isn't worth dealing with this service center. I will never buy a jeep from this dealership despite having bought 5 over the last few years because I do not want to deal with their service center.

Brought my Jeep in because Transmission light was on. .. I had it diagnosed at another shop who was honest and said it was the transmission which would be covered .. so I took it to jeep then they charge you to diagnose it over 300$ they gave me a totally different diagnosis and every thing they diagnosed it with was not covered under warranty .. shocker … they charged me 747 just for the battery .. it’s less then a week now and my transmission light is back on .. so they were wrong about battery and did not fix the transmission problem … felt so scetchy to me ..

I leased my 6th and last car from this dealership and my previous review about the dealership is posted. This review is for the Service Department, I had an appointment for 6/25 for an oil change and to repair a recall issue. When I called to make an appointment I requested a loaner , this request meant that my appointment would not be for a few weeks but since I was getting a loaner I agreed. I arrived on time and meant with Malcolm he asked why I was there I told him and also told him about loaner. As Malcolm looked at the computer screen for an extended period of time I was getting very nervous because I have experienced first hand how MD can victimize you in a second been there done that. Malcolm asked the loaner people called me I replied NO, then he said “ How about we give you a ride home” I replied NO I arranged for a loaner and I need one to do shopping. Much to my surprise he spoke with Brian standing next to him and then he said “ Your loaner is out front “ I know that they were going to try to back out of loaner. I guess they realized that I was ready for MD to lie. Brian even went to my car to check my insurance card. Thank you Malcolm and Brian for doing the right thing and they didn’t even except me to write an inflated review to enhance their year end monies. I still will never get a car from MD and I will go out of my way to tell potential victims to stay away. But on 6/25/24 they finally did the right thing.

Traded in a Hyundai Elantra that was gasping its last breath for a certified pre owned Jeep Compass. Salesman Oliver and finance manager Lenny did the nearly impossible and got us a fantastic deal! Honest, up-front, no surprises, and RESPECT for our time…got the entire deal signed sealed and delivered in one afternoon! This was the first time in a long time I’ve ever seen my husband so happy about a car…. He finally got his green Jeep! We will absolutely be back when the lease on our other car is up!
