Essa & Mike are outstanding people. They went above and beyond to have my vehicle serviced right before the new year holiday. Since I work 14hrs a day Essa made sure to set up a tow truck to pick up my vehicle from my job; which had a leaking radiator, serviced my vehicle and towed it right back to me at work. They are fair with their pricing but for some they may be too pricey however; they are worth it. I would highly recommend

Greedy one I personally experienced this issue at a garage, and it’s one of the worst scams. Many drivers go for DMV inspections, tire repairs, or fixing small car problems, and some garages take advantage of this. First, they ask you how much you’re willing to pay, so you mention the regular price. Then, they quote their own price, and on top of that, they expect tips. They say, “Pay if you want, don’t pay if you don’t,” but they pressure you into tipping. I know for many drivers, an extra $5 or $10 doesn’t seem like a big deal, but this behavior makes the garage staff more greedy. Today, you might pay $15 for a $10 service or $30 for a $20 job, but tomorrow, they’ll ask for even more. Please don’t give in to these demands. Take your time to find a garage that charges fair prices. Avoid places that try to scam you because that extra $5 can eventually lead to much larger losses in the future. Stand your ground and pay only what’s reasonable.

I’ve been a loyal customer of Midtown Center Auto Repair for years, even when they were based in Manhattan, and I can't recommend them enough. Mike and Essa have always been outstanding—knowledgeable, honest, and incredibly trustworthy. They explain auto-related issues in a way that’s clear and thorough, much like how I explain medical topics to my patients. It’s also worth mentioning that since they’ve moved to Long Island City, it’s actually quicker for me to get there from my Upper East Side residence than it ever was when they were on the West Side, which is a nice bonus! The shop itself is clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with a comfortable waiting area where you can relax while the work is being done. The staff and auto mechanics are not only highly competent but also friendly, which makes for a pleasant experience. They even have a clean restroom, which is a nice touch. Their integrity is one of the main reasons I keep coming back. I’ve always felt confident in their recommendations and trust that they only suggest what’s best for my vehicle. Whether you’re in need of a quick fix or a more involved repair, you can always count on them for honest advice and quality work. I've lived in New York all my life, and as a woman with a car I've always been wary of mechanics. However, one Sunday I had to have my car inspected on an emergency basis and I found these guys open and ready. Since then they are the only people I take my car to. They do a fantastic job on my 2003 Acura TL and keep it running perfectly. In addition, I've been treated with respect and honesty, and I've never had to bring the car back after a repair. The job is always done perfectly.

Midtown Center Auto Repair & Body Shop has been my 2002 Toyota 4-Runners LIFELINE!!! I had the blessing of having my 4-Runner towed one hot summer day like 5 years ago via Triple AAA. They transported my vehicle to Midtown Auto Repair which used to be located on West 48th Street in Midtown Manhattan. Upon my arrival I was cordially greeted by a gentleman named Essa who assisted me above and beyond the call of duty. He did a quick diagnostic test on my vehicle, explained what was wrong, and what would be needed to repair my vehicle. He broke it down step by step and also give me an approximation of what the cost would be. Long and behold when I went to pick up my 4-Runner everything Essa stated and quoted was exactly on point!. My ride was repaired, ran brand new, and he specifically stated, that should I encounter any issues, to please bring it right back. Thank god I had no issue's. Moving forward 5 years till today Midtown Center Auto Repair is my home for any issues I may be experiencing with my 4-Runner. The professionalism, expertise, cordiallnes, hospitality and PRICE, is just RIGHT ✅️ 👌!!
