I took my 2011 Subaru in for some creaking noises while driving. It took a few minutes of me standing at the front counter while two employees B.S.-d behind the counter and complained about having to work. They called me later and quoted me $2,500 for lower control arms, links, and struts. I told them I was a bit stunned by the price and I’d have to think about it. They then immediately offered me a 20% “managers discount” - which, oh nice a discount, but then… you can immediately offer 20% off??? How much are you jacking up your prices to begin with? I was immediately skeptical of the place and decided not to get the work done. I went to pick up my car and again stood at the front desk, waiting to be acknowledged while two employees chatted. Finally checked out and the manager said “you’re not going to try and fix this yourself right? It’s a lot of work” and then “hey you’ll leave us a 5 star review right?” Well reader - I did fix it myself. I changed my struts and links, not the control arm, and look at that, the creaking is gone. Whilst fixing my car for $300 I noticed this lovely gem they left me… “poo poo Subaru” written on my original factory sticker. A perfect depiction of the maturity level and professionalism of the staff.

can’t speak highly enough about the service team at Monro Auto Service in Malta, especially the service manager, Brett. First, let me begin by saying I called on a Saturday regarding a brake issue with my Caddy SUV and instantly was told to bring it in and they will check out the issue before the close of the day. That’s great service! Once they diagnosed the problem, I received a phone called from Trish, one of the service workers. She was very professional and knowledgeable in explaining I needed new front brakes pads and calibers. What I was most impressed by is that Monro was ready to do the work on the same day, but I decided to wait til the next day to have the work done. When I went back in the next day, I met Brett, the service manager. I’m giving Monro a five star review and one of the reasons is Brett’s professionalism and great customer service. Thanks to Brett and his detailed explanation of the repairs needed we came to a very reasonable price agreement to have the brake work done. In these challenging times life is good when you have people like Brett and the service team at Monro Auto Service in Malta to go above and beyond to help their customer. Thank you guys! Thurston

Not the place it used to be BEWARE! My son was there yesterday for an inspection with a car that is less than two years old and they failed his inspection saying he needed brakes on all four wheels and a brake fluid change with a quote over $1500. He called me and I told him to bring it down the road and have it inspected and 2 hours later the car passed inspection and the brakes were fine. Totally tried to scam a 18 year old. My family and I have been going there since it was opened in the 90’s and was always treated great but that has changed in the last year or two.

I had an oil change and an inspection at this location earlier this week. Just want to give a huge shout out to Brandon at the desk. He was so friendly, polite and professional. He was a pleasure to deal with and I wouldn’t hesitate to have any service done at this location. Thank you!

I worked with Dennis, great guy. He was very personable and professional, consulted with me before moving forward with any of the recommendations, and also made sure that I understood the recommendations. It truly felt like he put the customer first. I will definitely be back!

I've been going here for over 2 years. They provide a pretty good quality of service with a decent value. I've been scammed by other mechanics but they have not done it to me! They made a $25 error on one bill and fixed it immediately when I brought it up to them
