Super Cool shop! I was surprised to find out they do insurance work. Then I found out they have a Dyno machine and a Phenomenal tuner. I would recommend anyone to the shop.

Very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Vehicle was delivered after hours and employee stayed so that we could put it inside. Took longer to replace radiator than expected, but I believe it was worth having it done correctly (needed fabrication), they also rewired the seat which wouldn’t move. When picked up, they provided suggestions for future enhancements, but not pushy or anything.

I don't have a classic car, but i do have a 2024 Dodge Ram TRX. I asked Dave to install some after-market modifications and he didn't blink an eye and said no problem. He and his team including Mariah, Mathew & Brandon went above and beyond to taking on the new challenge. He installed a new S&B Air Intake, Ripatuned Incognito Lower pully, AWE tuning catback exhaust system, Eibach Front spring and Foutz rear spacer for a leveling kit, Baja 20" behind the grill light bar along with a Bedrug bed liner and Undercover Armor Flex tri-fold bed cover. I couldn't be more satisfied with the workmanship, attention to details, timeliness, price and answered all my concerns. I Highly recommend Dave and his team! and I will use them again in the next phase of my build.

Brought a 89 mustang LX in for a head gasket replacement. Dave ripped the car apart and let the rest sit for 11 months in the elements. When I removed it the vehicle was filthy scratched and rusted. He chicken wired the transmission to the wiper arm motor. Lmao. Dave continued to make up stories and attempt to blame every outsourced company for machine work ect… he never answers the phone returns calls or responds. When you put the guy on the spot he just talks in circles coward. No accountability whatsoever!!! I Paid 2500$ to carry the vehicle out in boxes. The entire car was in worse shape then when dropped off. Lmao Work was not even done at motor city steel but at Dave’s other shop down the road. A Walmart auto shop would have been more appealing then this place. Why did i pay a Performence shop premium?!?! I did not approve for you to send my car from one place to another. You said it was in storage dave!!! Unethical worst joke of a shop around!!! Stay away!!!! Pics are before and after. Engine was in when dropped off and the car was a roller when removed after the better part of a year. Pretty bad when you have to review yourself 5 stars dave. Shut this joke of a place down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Motor city steel… Nah lmao more like motor city steal$$$

Ben/Aaron repainted my 1965 Corvair Corsa Convertible. They kept me informed of their progress on a daily basis. I couldn't be more pleased. Thanks to the owner (Dave) as well.
