Mr. Jim's Auto

I had my truck serviced at Mr Jim’s and the whole experience was very positive. The truck hadn’t been serviced for an extended period of time and I wasn’t sure of what exactly needed to be done outside of an oil change. They gave it a thorough inspection and breakdown of what needed to be attended to. Communication was great all the way around and price was fair. Will be using them again for my other vehicles.

Mr Jim’s Auto is my favorite all time vehicle repair shop. It’s not overwhelming like some shops. The people are friendly, professional and caring. They set up appointments that are timely and convenient. The great part is they have always offered to drive me home while my car is being serviced. Then they drop it off in my garage! Friendly, experienced and honest. I had an estimate for another place to do my repair work. Mr. Jim's estimate to do the same work was over $900 less. Then when they got under the truck they found the problem wasn't even what the first place had quoted. The new work was even less than their first estimate. Will always take our family vehicles to Mr. Jim's

Mr. Jim’s auto provided excellent service and was very professional! When another auto shop was unable to fix our vehicle to pass the emissions test, we decided to take it to Jim’s auto. Our vehicle passed after the repairs and a heavy load has been lifted off of our shoulders! I was also impressed with the automation aspect, receiving an estimate electronically and being given the option to pay online. Great service and great people!

Were in Chicagoland with family for Christmas following our 1200mile road trip from our home in Maine. Discovered our left rear tire flat on Christmas morning. Threw the spare on, and dropped the flat off at Mr.Jim's Auto the next morning for repair. By the time we got to my sister's a short ways down the road, I got an E-mail saying it was done and ready for pick up. Then, at no extra charge, they secured it to the car and re-stowed the spare back under the car. We're back in Maine now, after zero issues with the car. Great service !

We had been told by another mechanic that there was a major issue with our vehicle and brought it to Mr. Jim's for a second opinion. They did an extremely thorough evaluation and found a very simple, much less expensive fix. They also found a few other issues which they identified and quickly fixed. Really appreciated their honesty and will definitely be taking our other cars to them from now on!

I went in for a simple oil change, and they tried convincing me into replacing my front brakes. Keith told me the following: Driver side brake pads: 5 mm Passenger side brake pads: 5 mm Front rotors: Worn He didn’t mention that new brake pads are 8 mm, so my brakes were still in good shape. Despite that, they recommended replacing the front rotors and quoted me over $850—double the price of any other shop. I got a second opinion from another clinic, and they confirmed my brakes and rotors were perfectly fine. This place is a rip-off, and Keith is clearly trying to take advantage of people who aren’t in the know. I can’t stress this enough: do your research and stay away from this shop unless you want to be overcharged for work that isn’t needed. Buyer beware!

I cannot recommend Mr. Jim's Auto enough. My 2004 Monte Carlo, 225,000 miles, needed a lot of help. I've owned the car since day one and there is a lot of sentiment. Mr. Jim's Auto saved the car. It hasn't run this good in years. More importantly, you couldn't ask for nicer people to deal with. They're patient, everything is explained in detail and they are the only business that has followed up with me to see how the car is running. Keith was my point of contact, and I couldn't have asked for better treatment. Highly recommended and I will trust them again in the future.
