Customer reviews for O'Reilly Auto Parts in Butte vary. One customer praised the staff, stating, "The guy was amazing! He taught my husband to fill up the AC in the RV. Working great now! Thanks awesome man, you know who you are!" This indicates helpful and knowledgeable staff.

However, several customers expressed concerns regarding parts availability. One customer noted, "Never have any parts in stock. Like basic common parts any other town has. I can order it myself for half the price if I wanted to order it and wait. Every part store in this town never has what I need. Im better off taking my chance at a junk yard sadly. I'll continue my business ordering myself at half the price I guess... FYI cant get common Toyota 4runner parts. 90% of the population drives one...."

Another customer echoed this sentiment, stating, "7 months later still no parts at any part stores . Just looking for a Mass air flow sensor for the most common subaru engine ever produced. You must must only have Lamborghini parts in stock."

These reviews suggest that the store may struggle with keeping common parts in stock, particularly for popular vehicle models like Toyota 4Runner and Subaru. Customers may need to consider ordering parts in advance or exploring alternative options.

This is my last time coming here. They have sold me the wrong parts multiple times rotors the first time and then a week later I replaced my rear rotors and they sold me f150 brake pads with the rotors for my Subaru.(I know my car model/submodel/year so wasn’t my mistake) Had some issues this morning and was passing figured I’d get them to check my battery since I couldn’t find my multimeter earlier. They checked it said bad battery, I said alright trusting them enough to use a multimeter. Went home to put in new battery of course saw the multi tool and said let me see the difference in the batteries just to know for future but resting reading were the same on both old and new. I was like well let me see when it starts up probably be a big drop and that could be the issue less than a 2 volt drop and running at the right voltage. Double checked online with voltages and can’t find anything that states my voltages mean anything other than a good battery. To be honest I didn’t think it was my battery to start with but just wanted to check it make sure it wasnt a factor and maybe chat with staff on what my issue could be. It’s so hit or miss it seems like there’s one guy in there that knows his stuff and the others might know a lot about their car but can’t help you with yours in anyway. Three years ago I had a staff member who got under my van on a rainy day to make sure the part I was getting was right and walked me thru the process of fixing the problem. This led me to make this my usual place for car parts because that service was more than I expected but it set a standard that I haven’t seen since and not even coming close to it

Number one place to make sure you get taken care of and free expert for replacement parts that they can do in the parking lot.
