OC German Car Service

Another amazing flawless job done by Eric over here at OC German Car. Just like the other reviewers, I also am very particular with my choice of Mechanics. After my first run through of the vehicle with Eric, I knew he is a master of BMW's. After my 2nd repair with him last week, my 2005 X5 has been running smooth. His honestly, service and knowledge is impeccable. I can leave my X with him the whole day without any worries or wonder, just excited to get the X back to experience a whole new ride. Thanks Eric and the team for another job well done. See you guys soon in San Clemente.

Started going to Eric several years ago when he was small! He did good work expediently! He has since closed and opened in 2 different locations and can’t keep staff! His comments are they don’t know what they are doing, and now I wonder if he does either?! My daughter drives a Mini Cooper that just went dead last week. We figured it was the battery so my husband got a replacement and installed it. Unbeknownst to us, when a battery is replaced apparently the internal computer has to be reset too! The tow truck driver mentioned this to my husband, who was going to have it towed to the dealership, as Eric didn’t have the equipment to do this. He called Eric to let him know, who raged against to tow truck driver, saying he had no idea about what he was talking about so we went ahead and took it to OC German. Well, we are now a 11/2 working days in and when we questioned the ETA of the repair, Eric railed on my husband saying he didn’t need this kind of stress. So we have now arranged to have the car towed to the dealership to relieve Eric of his stress! Not only have we been loyal customers, we have sent him additional business and given out great recommendations! There is an edge of anger and pompousness that rear their ugly head when Eric is challenge or even just questioned! Looks like we will be taking our business back to the dealership, as their pricing is not that much more, have the staff and the equipment to handle the repair and we are at least treated with respect! *Eric- you would earn a lot more respect if you would stop dissing others in the industry ( the tow truck driver) and admit when you are in over your head!

This shop does really good work. I took my R230 into the shop because it was having some ABC related problems. Eric was able to diagnose and fix the problem. He went above and beyond by rebuilding my valve blocks instead of trying to up-sell me brand new ones. The car came out of the shop in much better shape than it went in, and I could not be happier with the outcome. Eric, the shop owner is very friendly and transparent when it comes to these types of cars and the repairs they may or may not need. I will be coming back to this shop the next time I have any problems.

Eric did a great job on BMW 740iL! Had him change the trans fluid, gasket and filter, and generally check out my vehicle underneath. Dude knows BMW's for sure. He had me in and out in a couple hours, and changing the ATF and filter on an older Bimmer is not an easy deal..... He is fantastic! Highly recommend this shop. I will definitely be going back for more work on the '01 740.

Incompetent, arrogant and disrespectful. I'm glad I got my car out of there before he touched it. Eric is not a master mechanic he couldn't even start my car. He had bad report and customer service. I expected a call in the morning, and never received it. I visited his garage around noon, and found that he never got the car to start. On top of that he wasnt confident in fixing the problem I had. When I told him I was going to take my car to a different shop. He muttered go "F yourself" as I walked out the door.
